Media mogul Raul Alarcon Sr., one of the most prominent figures in the Cuban community in America, has passed away.

Associates close to his family said Alarcon had been in declining health for several years.

He was 82 years old.

      Raul Alarcon Sr. is my great uncle. He was a man that revolutionized the world of Latin radio, and the world is forever in debted to him for that.

      Honestly, it is a real trip coming across this post. I understand that Perez is Cuban, just like me, but after years of no contact with that side of the family, i cant help but be shocked. My baggage is what it is.

      My thoughts are with the Alracon/Duque-Estrada family. Que Dios Te Bendiga y tambien el espiritu de Raul.
