Perez are you running out of new material? Becuz I swear this is like the fourth time you've mentioned Ashlee's record sells. Is it that people that have lives (i.e. friends, boyfriend, marriage and/or baby on the way) make you see just how lonely you really are, so downing them makes you feel better?
I'm no Ashlee Simpson fan, but I think disaster is a bit harsh, espicially when your own line of clothing isnt flying off the shelves.
If she has sold 95,612 @ approximately $15 a piece thats almost 1.5 million.
I didnt realize that selling 1.5 million dollars worth of goods in a few months was a disaster.

Sucks, cause a few of the songs on the album are really good. "Boys" is a great summer song, and "Little Miss Obsessive" is good too. I think it's a bit of a departure from the bubble gum girl or stereotypical odd rock chick. music, and people don't know how to receive it. I like it, and I usually only go for indie artists and slightly less mainstream like Bjork, Tori, and Imogen Heap.
Also, I think that record companies are not doing enough to promote the artists anymore. If it's not a current fad (white girls rapping over R&B tracks) or hip hop, they just sort of throw the songs on itunes and are like….good luck bitches!

Guess it's a very appropriately titled LP. Let's be real though, I don't see much promotion being done to support the release either. Just like what's happening to Janet Jackson. Also, just b/c an LP isn't doing big numbers doesn't necessarily mean it's not good.
i'm in the music business and 95k isn't that terrible. obviously, it's not great, but look at the music biz right now and ashlee wasn't that popular of an artist to begin with.

It wasn't promoted properly. It's actually not a bad album…it gets a little monotonous half way through but overall there is worse out there. It came out at the wrong time…marriage and pregnancy take the cake over the new album.

Bittersweet World is excelent, and she sounds good in her live performances this year so, it must be an effect of bad publicity and her reputation
I guess I'm one of those 95,612 and I love it! She may not have the best voice but some of the songs on this album are fun and edgy, Timbaland and Chand Hugo did a great job producing! There was barely any promotion for this record.

Only big artists like Madonna & Michael J (in his prime) get more than $1. Ashlee hasn't even recouped the amount of money the record co invested to record the damn cd, so how is this a success?

I have the album and i personally think its really good - yeah a few times you have to listen to it but its funky! Plus has she promoted it? Nope ans she is sperminated! I am no massive fan but i think this is a great album dont judge till u listen to it!

this is really disappointing….i am not ashamed to say that i am an ashlee simpson fan and if everyone would just get over the whole lip-synching thing and actually listen to her music they would hear that it is actually very good. i have been to many of her live shows and she is a great performer and really is there to perform for her fans and doesn't have all the hoopla of dancers and pyro. and gives her all in every show. this new cd is great to dance to and is very catchy!

I actually really like this CD. I don’t like Ashlee at all, but what’s good is good and her CD, I’m sorry to say IS good. The song “Boys” is addictive and the others are above descent so I’m sad to hear that her CD’s only sold that many copies, when it deserves better ratings.
