Nobody had better help this clown with his pissing away millions of dollars. If only we all had that kind of money to work with. Help the average American who works two jobs and still doesn't have health insurance or a pot to piss in.

why should we help him? He had the money and should have saved it! There are hundreds of families all across america going through the same thing, we are bailing them out so why him when he spent it on a lavish lifestyle?

BOO-HOO!!! I agree, not our problem. If everyone who is about to lose their home, went on TV it would be a 24-7 marathon. Please…who gives a shit. He should have payed more attention. We still have millions of "average americans" (who by the way help pay for these rich assholes stuff) who no one seems to care about.

Well I feel bad for the guy cuz he is 85 yrs old, a little unsure of the wife if you know what I mean. But who's gonna help him, who would give someone millions of dollars to save their home, kinda sad.

    13. Burga says – reply to this

      13

Why should anyone help him? If you spend more then you make and your bills are more then you can pay it won't work. Oh boo hoo, I'm famous so I shouldn't have to lose my house. Suck it up bitch, welcome to the real world

    14. ED says – reply to this

      14

NOBODY SHOULD HELP HIM!!! FUCK HIM!!! HE BLEW HIS MONEY, TOUGH LUCK.HE WANTS TO LIVE IN A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE WHICH HE CANNOT AFFORD. HE SHOULD MOVE TO A RETIREMENT HOME WHERE HE BELONGS. MOST OF US LIVE IN A NORMAL HOUSEHOLD BECAUSE WE CANNOT AFFORD TO LIVE IN A PLACE LIKE HIS.

    15. 15

Think of all the elderly people who wasted their hard earned dollars buying stupid magazines all because they believed that Pulishers Clearing house was going to have Ed show up at their door with a check for millions of dollars.

You reap what you sow Ed.

    16. carri says – reply to this

      16

I don't feel sorry for him……..have an auction sale idiot……the furnishings in your home could support my family for the next 20 years………I'm sure…..boo hoo hoo I'm gonna lose my multi million dollar home………I couldn't care less!

    17. kv says – reply to this

      17

Could someone help me with my bills? I've been a single mom for 12 years and disabled for 10 years. I can't work. The price of everything is going up and my income is fixed. Both of my kids are working, one is putting herself through college………give me a break McMahon and Perez. Being in the entertainment industry is a big rip off as it is. Now you want even more?????? Johnny would be so ashamed.

    18. Cry says – reply to this

      18

Isn't Ed ashamed to be begging this way? Has he no pride? What did he do with all the millions he earned through the years then?

    19. canad says – reply to this

      19

why do they need such a big house … I realize they are trying to sell it but in the interview he says they really want to keep it … opulence kills

    20. lisa says – reply to this

      20

I agree with many of the previous posters. Why should we "help" someone who made many millions, spent many millions, and is not willing to reduce the price of his multi-million dollar mansion to an appropriate selling price to sell it? No sympathy here.

    21. canad says – reply to this

      21

also where is johnny carson's widow thru all this??? she must be sitting pretty with her million$$$

    22. whate says – reply to this

      22

its his own fault! he made many many millions of dollars and blew it. i dont feel sorry for him at all

    23. FReal says – reply to this

      23

Jay Leno doesn't owe him SHIT! He has no connection to Jay Leno other than he used to work in the building where Jay works now. Would you pay the bills of someone who used to work where you donow? Or who used to live in your apartment before you did? He spent the fucking money, let him live in a normal house on a normal street instaed of a mansion he can't afford. God forbid he live like us!

    24. Hoya says – reply to this

      24

People are struggling to pay their bills put food on the table and purchase gas to get to work and this is what is on Television? Hollywood seems to think that what they do matters as if it is something important to be an actor. I have news for you Hollywood. Playing pretend in the land of make believe is not work and contributes nothing to society that people require to live. Most of what goes on there adds no intrinsic value to anything that is worthwhile in the course of human life. These people need a reality check so I say strike and you will finally see that people have had enough with this and the life styles that are displayed and projected to to hard working people. That also includes anything that is published on this site because it adds no value in anything that is truly relevant or substantial.

It's amazing how so many people live beyond their means to keep up with the Jones'. I'd love to live in a million dollar home, too; however, I can sleep at night knowing I'm not in debt up to my eyeballs.

    26. K. says – reply to this

      26

Why the f*ck should people be bailing Ed McMahon out of foreclosure? Maybe all the overpaid should chip in and make a giant contribution to the families who are losing their homes and can't find rentals? Instead I have to keep hearing about some overpaid sidekick who couldn't manage his money or apparently keep his wife from overspending on the AMEX, please, tell Ed to suck it up and deal!

    27. Piddl says – reply to this

      27

      AJ,

Grow up and stop your whining. All of you posters boohooing that Ed shouldn't receive any help and others should?

Are you all really that heartless? Look, I don't know anything about Ed's financial difficulties or how they came about, but what I do know is that everyone deserves compassion during difficult times, not just a select few.

Granted, Ed has probably made more money in his career than any of us will ever see, but that doesn't mean that when someone is having difficulties that we should just give him or her the, serves you right attitude.

A lot of people in life have made poor decisions. They don't need to be slammed for them, they need compassion and hope.

      28

Yes, I also have very little remorse for this clown, who as he stated in this interview "I never signed a check for thirty years"…, a six million dollar mortgage is not an entitlement, it is rather a privledge for the monitary elite, which he is no longer a member of…Get out of Beverly Hills you old bastard and move into a more reasonable condominium.

    29. Mothe says – reply to this

      29

I think his current wife fucked him up. It's been well-known for years that she is a shopaholic and addicted to plastic surgery. They've been married for 16 years..so 16 years of outlandish spending..and I think she had something to do with his broken neck . Ed didnt really want to get into what happened to his neck. Why not?..things that make you go hmmmmm..

    30. anon says – reply to this

GEE, I am having a cash crisis too. Can I go on TV and whine and ask people to give me free money????

    31. Tony says – reply to this

      31

Give me a break is he serious!!
He should not have been begging. He should just say I want more work or something. Does he really expect Americans who can barely afford gas to feel sorry for him while hes living in a 6+ million dollar home. I feel bad because hes old but that's it

    32. scarl says – reply to this

      32

ARe we supposed to care? Who the hell is Ed McMahon anyway? I've got family I need to look after thanks.

    33. Haywo says – reply to this

      33

I don't feel sorry one bit for someone who's made millions and handed over all the financial responsibility to others. Hasn't written a check for 50 years? He deserves this. How about Leno and Trump helping out regular Americans who are trying to keep their homes and feed their kids?

    34. Me says – reply to this

      34

Fuck Ed, Poor Ed, You fucked up why should anyone bail you out. Sell your house and buy a trailer. Sad sack.

    35. Laure says – reply to this

      35

Maybe he can make a house payment with the money Al Roker gave him to shove it up his fat ass. Al Roker….that was some hard-hitting journalism. "How does it feel?" Puh-lease! Should have been, "how does it feel to have a money-grubbing tramp of a wife and zero sympathy from the rest of America?"

    36. NO says – reply to this

      36

Do not help this stupid old fuck,I can,t believe hes dipped so low.His wife looks pretty healthy, get a job bitch.Go after all your exwifes and tell them to cut you some slack.Thats plain fuckin rude to bother the American public with your belly aching.Johnny Carson must be laughing his head off right now,you stupid old man

    37. Me2 says – reply to this

      37

Feel sorry for him and his wife? His wife abused the plastic so bad buying Prada that they owe $750,000 to American Express! How f**k'ed up is that?

    38. MARC says – reply to this

      38

I watched Ed and his wife on the Larry King Show and they said if they lose their house that they'll still have enough money to live on and get a condo.I'm not sure if they'll lease the condo or buy it.My guess is they'll live in Beverly Hills or Century City,California if they move anywhere. They are not completely broke.

    39. no_wa says – reply to this

      39

AAAArgh! I am so sick of all these "victims" of the housing market. The only true victims are the ones that have been priced out due to the obscene runup in prices propelled by greedy bastards like Ed.

And I highly doubt the man deserves the title "beloved". What talent other than being a suck-up did this man have? I teach a little boy who lost his mom and his father cannot afford to take care of him and his siblings so they live day to day. That little boy is a victim. Cover THAT story Al and Meredith.

How low has the media sunk to think this old pimp and his ho deserve our sympathy?

    40. 40

He has made his proverbial bed (as we all have) and now must lie down to sleep in it. It is too bad, but does anyone care about my hard luck story? I don't think so.

Ed aught to have a garage sale. It's hard to feel sorry for someone living in the lap of luxury. THE KiNG DOES NOT NEED MORE GOLD!

    43. cryst says – reply to this

      43

He surely has assets that he can liquidate. He invested heavily in real estate, etc. The fact that he doesn't WANT to is too bad. He and his wife should go take a tour of Iowa and see people that have lost everything and have nothing to live on but their neighbor's help, Red Cross, Salvation Army. File for bankruptcy. He married a woman 32 years his junior - I hope it was worth it. I am embarrassed for him that he is whining on tv so much.

Don't you mean WHERE'S DAVID LETTERMAN?…..DL was always buddy buudy with Johnny Carson and worshiped that show…..So Come on Dave….Help out Ed…Johnny would approve….and giving is a good thing when you got millions.

    46. Gotta says – reply to this

      46

SO…. he doesn't have the money to pay his past expenses. So what happens if someone gives him a loan. At 85, a broken neck, shopaholic wife — he will be back in the same situation 6 months from now.

He should MOVE his 85 year old ass into a smaller home and take his favorite possession — the fighter plane —- with him!

Honestly, in his broken down, broken neck condition how many rooms does he actually utilize in that large mansion.

      No sympathy here buddy.

pathetic end to the gig of a lifetime. go rent an apartment, ed.

    51. an says – reply to this

      51

I'm sorry, but by his own admission he spent more than he made. I am a little shocked by his blatant requests for charity as if someone SHOULD bail him out. Sorry Ed, your cries for help sound a little self-centered and selfish…maybe that is how you got yourself in this mess in the first place. As we tell our children, "there is a lesson to be learned here."
