As a typographer…. he has real problems in distuinguishing between upper and lower caser letters.

For some reason I believe that to NOT be his handwriting. Usually when you have flowers delievered it is a printed out note.. hmm.

Who the fuck cares what George Clooney has to say. I loved and respected Tim Russert, but quit posting this shit because his family needs to be left alone! If people want to really memorialize Tim, they should get their hands on 'Big Russ and Me' (an incredibly moving story about Tim and his father and the follow up to the book. But to show a note and bouquet of flowers that his assistant had sent is unnecessary.

So sad…Tim Russert was the only newscaster I actually took seriously throughout the election coverage…Even though he was a Democrat, he remained unbiased in his interviews and had no agenda to push. He was an honest reporter, something all newscasters should aspire to.
Rest in Peace Mr. Russert, thanks for the inspiration.

Usually the person who takes the flower order will hand-write the note.

my thoughts and prayers are with his family. he was a great newscaster, who will be missed greatly. but what i really want to comment on is you idiots who posted. not only is this first shit so stupid. you are supposed to be commenting on the pic and headline, instead of caring who was first. second. instead of condolences you are busting on george clooneys handwritting, seriously miss typographer is that the only thing you can do about this caption. is pull apart his handwriting. how about my lack of punctuation. really people 7 posts and only one made a reference to tim passing. you are really pathetic, fucked up, miserable first first idiots.

Does it really matter who actually wrote the note? It was a lovely gesture on the part of George Clooney. It never ceases to amaze me how shallow people can be in these comment sections. Tim Russert was a greatly loved and respected journalist who had true integrity. Condolences to his family and friends. Godspeed Tim.

OK all you monster brains out there in internet land,
George Clooney didn't write the card- he had the flowers sent from a florist in D.C. to the service in D.C…If that needs to be spelled out more clearly for you- and I am guessing it does- for most of you- that means the florist wrote the message that was given to her/him- by George or one of George's people.

Not really that hard to decipher. Stay in school- a mind's a terrible thing to waste.

Just because somebody was friends with newscasters and producers they should not be forcing us to watch day after day of tributes to them. There has been nearly as much coverage of Tim Russert as there was when the Pope or Princess Dianna died. Seriously, We get it, all of you newscasters were friends with him and you will miss him, fine, but day after day or tributes is too much. Enough already.

i just noticed, clooney does have feminine handwriting.. but RIP tim.

SO I realize this guy died suddenly and it's really sad for the family… (my thoughts go out to them) however….. WHY are they spending so much media attention on this mans death? Channel 7 (abc in LA) are serioulsy gonna lable this 'breaking' news and stop regular programing in order to show the service…. and for what? I say, just report on how to NOT have a heartattack and how to live healthy and BE DONE WITH IT!

Again, i think it's supper sad, but don't stop General Hospital, One Life to Live, or frekin Zach and Kendall for this.

    Again I apologize.

    RIP guy

First we went through 9/11 as a nation, and then there was 6/13. America is in mourning for it's most beloved figure of all time. I'm starting to cry just typing this.

I still can't believe this is happening to me!! I have loved Tim Russert forever and losing him has been the worst thing that has ever happened to me. Tim, I will think of you every day, and I will watch the tributes to you every day on MSNBC so it will be like you never left me. God bless you in Heaven, a Saint among men.

    Re: JC

You are so right. 6/13 is worse than 9/11 because that is the day that journalism and democracy both died. America is lost now.

  32. Billy says – reply to this

    32

I'll bet his funeral was the classiest funeral ever, because if there is one thing you can say about Tim Russert, it's that he was the classiest class act of all time. Read his book if you are looking for a classy time now that he's gone. Just so classy.

    Re: Me

You fucking bitch!! I hope you get cancer for asking some stupid shit like why are we all talking about Tim's death!! Apparently you missed the last twenty years when the whole world knew what an important groundbreaking journalist Tim was and how much we all looked to him for guidance, you fucking slut!! Get some fucking class before you ever open your fat yap about Tim Russert ever again!!

  34. FReal says – reply to this

    34

    Re: cambe

You are correct! Johnny Carson meant a Hell of a lot more to NBC than Tim Russert ever did and do you even remember him dying? No, because the news department didn't give a shit. Johnny Carson was on NBC for 30 years, making them hundreds of millions of dollars, and was actually known and loved by the public, but he wasn't in the shitty news department, so…meh. What do they care? The same goes for Bob Hope and even Michael Landon…all with longer careers at NBC, all more profitable for NBC…but somehow it wasn't 24/7 coverage. The whole thing is fucked up.

    35

Tim Russert's family didn't give a shit when my dad died, and I am returning the favor. I don't give a fucking shit about this fat fuck who ate himself to death! Normal people die every day and he's not any better than them! Keep it to yourselves bitches!!

That should never have left the shop looking like that. I hope George never buys from such a low class joint again.

Using Tim Russert's death for an aging queen tv and film actor like George Clooney is tacky and quite desperate. Noting first the few posts and then comments no one cares about george clooney only about Mr. Tim Russert.

  58. LaNon says – reply to this

    58

    Not classy AT ALL.

Not a sympathy card, but rather a message scripted on a piece of the florist's advertising stationery. Source of photo? The florist

If I were Clooney I would be PISSED.
    Tacky exploitive insensitive. Ratty, really.
