No, Tori Spelling is not dead!
But, her beloved (and quite famous) pug, Mimi LaRue , died Tuesday of natural causes at the age of 11.
Tori says, "She was a star and a true lady, and she will be missed greatly. People everywhere knew her by name. I loved when fans wanted her over me. I felt proud! I'm devastated. I'm convinced she waited around to make sure I had the daughter I always dreamt about before she left us."
Tori also revealed that dear Mimi had suffered from medical problems relating to her hips and neck for years.
So sad.

So sorry to hear of mimi's death! I just watched a rerun of their first season today and was smiling watching mimi laying on top of their other dog just chillin in their bed. I am thinking of you Tori and Dean. How sad

So strange. Yesterday afternoon, while looking at MiMi in the wallpaper on your site, Perez, I thought about how old she was and how sad it was going to be when she was gone. I had the same feeling the day before my own dog passed. I hope I'm not some dog death psychic. What a horrible gift to have!

"problems with her hips and neck"? that's arthritis…and if she'd let that lap dog walk around a bit instead of carrying her everyhwere as an accessory maybe she'd have been more limber. but that's not what took her…11 years old for that breed is pretty good.

Normally, I would complain that this is not news, but I have loved every animal I have ever had, and Tori had Mimi LaRue for 11 years, so I am sure she is so devastated, and my heart goes out to her. They really become like family, and I can't imagine losing my own.

Poor Mimi. I admire Tori for living her life to be happy and not wasting her life away trying to please others. She got too much shit for leaving her first husband. It's nice to see her in such a good realtionship and happy!

I am one of the few people that likes Tori but after hearing this dog suffers from hip problems which is very painful for dogs and seeing how she carrys him I think she is a selfish piece of shit.

I have a 11 year old pug, named Rocky. He's just like Mimi ( he has to be carried up and down stairs, needs meds, etc). I'm so sad.

my heart goes out to tori. i lost my miniature schnauzer, who was also 11, in november. it's so heartbreaking to lose an animal that you cared for and tended to, and that surely became a part of the family.

I have 2 pugs so I know. arthritis is very very common in older pugs. Tori is one of the best dog owners there is. This was a sad tragedy and no ones fault.

They didn’t say arthritis so you have no idea what it was. It could have been hip dysplasia for all we know. I never said her carrying the dog caused the problem you dumb ass. When a dog has pain in the hips you support their weight you don’t just let them hang.

While I CAN'T STAND Tori Spelling, and I was the same age as she during 90210 and watched it religiously, my heart does go out to her. I am a pug lover and have adopted rescue pugs in the past. I recently lost one of my babies, myself. I hope that if Tori is going to get a new dog in the future, she looks to Little Angels Pug Rescue in LA. They do amazing things for pugs in need and would love the publicity that Tori could bring to their agency.
