No, Tori Spelling is not dead!
But, her beloved (and quite famous) pug, Mimi LaRue , died Tuesday of natural causes at the age of 11.
Tori says, "She was a star and a true lady, and she will be missed greatly. People everywhere knew her by name. I loved when fans wanted her over me. I felt proud! I'm devastated. I'm convinced she waited around to make sure I had the daughter I always dreamt about before she left us."
Tori also revealed that dear Mimi had suffered from medical problems relating to her hips and neck for years.
So sad.

Little Angels Pug Rescue is a great orginization, I have made donations to them in the past and have decided to make a donation in Mimi's honor tomorrow. Maybe others here would like to do the same. I think it is a fitting tribute to such a special pug.

That is completly untrue! I have two pugs and the only times they have any trouble breathing is when the temperature hits the 80s and then I keep them inside. They are a very solid breed of dog with one of the longest lifespans of any breed.

That is sad. Pets are like family, especially dogs. My aunt in law's dog died the same day she did–it's almost as if he knew. I honestly believe that Mimi was waiting for Tori to have her baby girl before she passed–knowing it would make her going easier. Dogs are so smart. RIP Mimi, and enjoy your baby Tori…maybe Mimi could be a nickname…but maybe not.

This is really sad, but in reality, Mimi LaRue appears to be excessively overweight which is horrible for her back and hips, not to mention the possibility of her developing diabetes. So… instead of carrying her around and dressing her up, Tori should've been watching the dog's food intake and exercising her more. Just a thought….
It is so weird, yesterday I was wondering if I had the Oxygen Channel and we did so my husband and I were watching their show and mimi came out and she was so adorable, the show is kinda funny but she is getting there, they should move the show to E! with all those reality shows. Rest in peace little pug…. I love pugs, I have one and a rottie so I would be devistated if one of my babies past away…. stay strong Tori.

that is one of the reasons a love tori - she loves animals. i knew she rescued mimi & that mimi had health problems. most people don't want to have dogs that aren't perfect. i think her love for animals shows she is really a kind & loving person. at least tori knows she loved mimi more than anyone could possibly love a dog & treated her so well. RIP Mimi.

I THINK MIMI HAD PROBLMES WHEN TORI GOT HER - THAT IS PROBABLY WHY THE ORIGINAL OWNERS GAVE HER UP - PEOPLE DON'T WANT TO PAY FOR ORTHOPEDIC SURGERY FOR DOGS IT IS 2K-6K PER LEG/HIP MOST OF THE TIME. TORI PROBABLY SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON MEDS FOR THE DOG & SURGERY. ALSO JUST BECAUSE A DOG IS IN PAIN DOESN'T MEAN IT HAS A LOW QUALITY OF LIFE. MIMI WAS SO CUTE W/ TORI'S OTHER DOGS & WAS OBVIOUSLY VERY HAPPY. I HADN'T SEEN TORI CARRYING MIMI AROUND IN YEARS EXCEPT IN PHOTO OPS - NOT ON THE STREAT OR RED CARPET. I just LOVE Tori so much and Mimi as well. I always thought me and Tori shared a bond b/c she loved her pug Mimi as much as I ove my pug GiGi. This is so sad but Tori is beautiful and I hope she gets another puggy 2 be by her side for years to come. xo

There are pets, and then there are those once in a lifetime pets that are so special that they just absolutely take a piece of you when they leave. When my dog died a few years ago, I was DEVASTATED. She had been with me all through my 20's- all those crazy times, my divorce, my wild days, and was just my best little friend- and when she died it was absolutely the end of an era. I couldn't function for a week. Didn't go to work, didn't eat. Sigh. It was tough. So I know how hard it is, and I'm so sorry.
Oh no!! Poor Tori. I had to put my 15 year old pug Lucy to sleep yesterday as well. I always thought Tori was cool because she had Mimi. My heart goes out to her. I know exactly how she feels.

Say what you want about Tori, but it is a testament to her that she didn't have a revolving collection of dogs like a lot of stars have. Pugs have a lot of breed problems due to brachioencyphaly (probably spelled that wrong). 11 years is a good long life, and I have no doubts that this dog had more frequent flyer miles and a better wardrobe than most people.
Tori, I'm so sorry about your sweet l'il pooch. You obviously loved her and you will teach your children that animals are not disposable items.

I used to think I didn't like Tori until I saw her reality show. Girl is down to earth especially coming from soooo much money. I can honestly say she is real and I like her even more knowing how much she loved her dog. I wish her and her family the best.

I like Tori Spelling, I think she REALLY REALLY loved that dog, but it's important to note that that pug was overweight. Pugs have a tendency to overeat - if you let them, which can in turn shave years off of their life.

And after 11 years with someone (it doesnt matter that she was a dog) you grow attached and they become part of your family. Tori, Dean, Liam and Stella my thoughts and prayers are with you! My baby boy Bishop (he was only 3) died in my arms Monday morning from acute renal failure, I feel your pain and hope that you will be able to lean on one another to make it through this difficult time!
I am planting a tree in Bishop's honor so that he will always be remembered and ease the pain, maybe you should do something similiar! Im sure yours would bloom all year round since you are on the west coast!

I was one of the guests who stayed over on her show Inn Love and I got to hang out with that puppy!… Let me tell you Perez, that dog has ALWAYS been in bad shape. I set the pup down and she could barely walk. It is sad and happens when the dog is held too much…
Re: Kim – Cook a chicken until it falls off the bones. put 2 cups of rice in the water you cooked the chicken in. De-bone chicken and also skin. Give this to Tiny 5-6 times a day. The weight will drop and you can start adding regular food and cutting back on frequency. This diet is also used by muscle peeps when competing. It trims down the fat skin layers. Good luck.
