Texas Republicans Take Weak Stand Against Racism!

The Republican Party of Texas will donate to charity the $1,500 it received for leasing a booth at its state convention to a vendor who sold this racist button, according to reports.
That's it????
According to the Dallas Morning News, the booth selling the racist pin was leased by Jonathan Alcox of Florida.
Texas Republicans spokeswhore Hans Klingler said the Repubs have been unsuccessful in trying to reach the vendor, Republicanmarket.com, who sold pins, scarves and other items last weekend.
So, instead, the party is sending a letter saying in “very strong terms” that he need not apply to sell items at any further state GOP events.
That's the way to take a stand against racism…donate a laughable $1500 and send a 'strongly worded' letter.
The Republican Party is still determining which charity will receive its donation.
The Texan Republican mouthpiece Klinger went on to say that he and party leaders believe the pin is distasteful and they hated that it was being sold at their event, which he said was upbeat and dedicated to unity.
Whatever.

What do you want blood? I don't agree with the vendor for selling that slogan on items, but let's face it, it's not any worse than some of the things you write. Yes it was in bad taste, but at least the Republican party is taking action against the vendor. I'm a democrat myself and I am 100% against any kind of racism, but there are other issues to worry about other than some stupid button/t-shirt/etc.

If an incident like this had happened at a Democratic event, it wouldn't be a big deal if they had donated the money they earned from that booth to a charity.
