Things are going very well for Jimmy Kimmel.
His ratings are up and, more importantly, ABC has just shown a great sign of confidence in the funny man.
The network has given Jimmy an early contract extension.
Now, his late night talker will be on the air at least through 2010.

my family friend works on his show so i get to go there all the time for free and sit in the front row, and usually i get on tv too! his name is todd bishop if that rings a bell to anyone. he's also worked on a ton of movies like the pick of destiny!!
Congrats to Jimmy…love him! I wish that HE was the one to somehow replace Jay Leno when Leno retires. Conan is set to replace Leno and I simply DO NOT GET IT. Conan is a snooze-fest. He is not funny and has no personality…The Tonight Show will be essentially over if Conan is the one to really replace Jay. GET JIMMY INSTEAD, NBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO CONAN!!!!! JIMMY!!!!!!!

Kimmel has a unique comic bent, and I like his show. But, whoever is doing his hair needs to tone down the color… it looks like he was dunked in a vat of black tar. Very phony-looking.
(And damn — there are a lot of immature kids posting nasty remarks. Get a life, children!)
He's come a long way. I remember when he was "Jimmy the Sports Guy" on KROQ.

I was very disapointed. He does not interact with the audience at all. I was walking down Hollywod Blvd. and was pulled off the street to see the shows so getting tickets should be easier. I saw The Price is Right and Drew Carey talked the audience and was a blast. Kimmel was a disappointment and the guy that warmed up the crowd was PURE Awful.
