Angelina Jolie's new movie, Wanted, hits theaters next Friday, June 27th, and the film is getting GREAT reviews.
The Hollywood Reporter glows:
The debut American feature by successful Russian director Timur Bekmambetov ("Night Watch" and its record-smashing 2006 sequel, "Day Watch"), this over-the-top, ultraviolent, hyperkinetic action thriller pretty much has it all.
That would include engagingly offbeat source material in the form of Mark Millar and J.G. Jones' comic book series, a decent adaptation by Michel Brandt and Derek Haas (last year's "3:10 to Yuma" remake) and Chris Morgan ("Cellular"), a terrific cast and jaw-dropping stunt work.
Can't wait to see it!!!!

This is the first time I'm looking forward to a Jolie movie. One day it donned on me that I find her fasinating. Fasinated by what she chooses to do. I read an interview with her and I liked her answers.

I saw this at a special sneak preview last night and it totally rocked. It's a perfect mix of Fight Club meets Gone in 60 seconds with just a twinge of Tarantino…. perfection, although Angie was far too skinny in the flick.

So just make her look pretty, prop her up, and put a gun in her hand. The closest she has ever come to a legitimate acting gig is playing the wife of that murdered journalist. Can't think of the name of the movie. And maby Girl Interrupted. But she is very, very far from a Meryl Streep or Julia Roberts.

This movie looks great! It has a top director, top-notch cast and a great story. Nice to see that Angelina can get the good roles…unlike pitiful, one-dimensional Anuston.
Of course it's a hit. With Timur Bekmambetov behind the wheel of the movie, it's bound to be a success. The actors rock it too: Morgan Freeman, Angelina, James McAvoy, Terence Stamp. And for all you Angelina haters. Get over your hate. If Jennifer Aniston can get over it - you should too. Angelina would be brilliant as Dagny Taggart in "Atlas Shrugged" - one of the best philosophical books ever.
