One of the reasons Gloria Estefan retired from the rigors of touring is that she doesn't need the money.

On Thursday, Gloria, and her husband, Emilio Estefan, celebrated the opening of Costa d’Este Beach Resort, in Vero Beach, Florida.
The Estefans own that hotel. They also own a hotel in Miami Beach, a few restaurants and tons of other businesses.
In other words: they're loaded!
“We developed this stunning resort because it made good business sense, but it was also a labor of love because Vero Beach is our home away from home and has been for six years," Glorida said Thursday. "And we wanted to share this special community with vacationers from around the world.”
The Estefans have a house in Vero Beach and they spend a lot of time there when not in Miami.
Shit, we need to come out with our own hotel!

I have lived in Vero Beach for all my life. It was a very quiet and sleep town, teenagers call it Zero Vero because there is nothing to do there. A lot of the resedents of Vero Beach are not too happy with the new hotel. Then again alot of the resadents are over 50 years old and do not want young people to disrupt this quiet town and turn it into the next Miami. It is smart of Gloria to open hotels but to open one in a dead sleepy town with nothing to do may not be her smartes biusness plan. Sorry Gloria and good luck.
P.s. The hotel she "built" was actuly there before hand but had been ruined in the huricans, she and her husband saved this hotel from being torn down and turned it into her own. The painters that painted our house are also painting the hotel and said that althow it is nice insode it will not be the 5 star hotel that she wants it to be.

Re: Monst – Only problem is that they didn't let them change the footprint, so the rooms are tiny and low ceilinged. The beds are barely off the floor in an effort to make the ceilings not seem so claustrophobically low. Are you a real estate agent like everyone there?
I live in Vero and the hotel is really pretty on the outside… My cousin has done some work for her and she's really nice. She even called his daughter to wish her good luck on her gymnastics competition!
