She doesn't have tuberculoses, as the British media is reporting, but….
The still-hospitalized Amy Winehouse is suffering from a chest infection.
The Sun's report of Amy coughing up blood was refuted by a Wino mouthpiece.
As we previously mentioned, doctors reportedly discovered that the songstress has an irregular heartbeat, which - in addition to her severe drug abuse - could also be attributed to her years long battle with eating disorders.
A 'close friend' told the Brit rag, "Amy is in a bad way. Doctors are still struggling to control her heartbeat but the chest condition has been really worrying them."
Another source is quoted saying, "Things sound really bad, but at least now they have found something specific it will be easier to keep her in hospital and free from drugs.
Amy is still undergoing tests and doctors will soon decide whether she is able to keep her upcoming performing commitments later this month (Glastonbury, Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday celebration).
Her rep says, "She would really love to do the show – she always wants to do these things. But she will listen to her doctors."
We really hope that Amy stays on the right path after this latest hospitalization.
Don't count on it, though!

Perez, I hope they keep her in hospital for a year!!!! She is in very bad shape. It's a wonder she is even alive. I think she is an amazing talent and I want her to get well and make more music! She is probably suffering from malnutrition and her electrlytes are out of balance. If you don't have the right balance of potassium and sodium in your system it fucks up your heart really bad and can kill you. Her bones and her muscles are probably a wreck. I bet her organs inside are like some 90 year old!!! What a mess. She has eating disorders, she's an alcoholic and a hardcore drug addict. She is malnourished and probably is suffering npeumoia which is an opportunistic disease. She needs to really, really go away for a full year, or even two years and straighten out her health and her life. I think her parents are fucked up!!! Some of this stuff comes from her home life when she was growing up. I feel sorry for her. She is like a little animal. All fucked up.

This is what's happening to her. She is experiencing what happens to people who are defined as having AIDS though she might not be HIV+. Heavy drug users are typically malnourished. They are more interested in getting high than actually taking care of themselves by eating right and having a proper diet. Amy's sporadic and poor eating habits (as evidence by her very skeletal look) and her aggressive drug habit has caused havoc with her immune system which is the case with people who are malnourished. Add the drugs and you are adding fuel to the fire. No immune system or a weakened one allows the onset of infections. And what has Amy been battling for many months? Yep, infections. Once those infections go unchecked and start to invade primary organs you can start the clock on her life ending. Hopefully they can control it but if the infection is rampant, don't count on it. Obviously Amy has not had people around her to make the decisions she is not capable of making and in the end her destruction will cost her her life. If she is lucky, she will survive and count this as her rock bottom and then seek serious help to get her sober and healthy.

This no joke. I have a suspicion that she has AIDS as well. It explains so much about her appearance, the skin legions and infections. This is all so sad. She probably contracted it through dirty needles.
Re: lipst – i take great offense that you believe that all of the youth of today are the exact same. i'm almost 24yrs old. i've been to a bar once and to a club twice ( both were almost 2 years ago!) my fiace and i have been together for almost 7 years and have a beautiful son together. we both work very hard to provide for our child. besides working, i'm also going to college. am i a waste of skin? no, i think not!
on another note, sometimes people need to hit rock bottom before they can get better. i hope that amy gets all the help she needs and turns her life around. i'm not really a fan of hers, but i wish her nothing but the best.

I think it is horrible that these people get premium medical care while walking around giving Doctors and their Families the finger, taking their health for granted! All the while their are children and other people who struggle with finding medical care for NON-self induced issues such as Asthma and would give up anything to have the right if not just the means to the medical care these people think they deserve!
Your right Perez! She has no intentions on staying sober. They can't even admit the real reason she is in there to begin with. Are we supposed to believe that she is in there with a common cold when she struts around with a hypodermic needle hanging from her arm! This is very serious. Irregular heartbeat + chest infection can = stroke. It happened to my father. He was in hospital for bad asthma attack, they noticed he was in Afib and then put him on medication. He threw a clot and had a stroke. He is, thank God, fine, but Amy's in a very dangerous situation. All you kiddies out there reading Perez getting a laugh at celebrity trainwrecks: think twice before using drugs. Wino is the posterchild for where they can take you. Hopefully this will be the kick in the ass she needs to clean up. Her system is in total revolt…if she doesn't get clean now we'll soon be reading about her death.
How bout Perez, after stating the facts in a story like this you say something heartfelt and maybe give some words of encouragement. It almost seems like you want more bad things to happen to her so you have some "juicy news" to post.
