She doesn't have tuberculoses, as the British media is reporting, but….
The still-hospitalized Amy Winehouse is suffering from a chest infection.
The Sun's report of Amy coughing up blood was refuted by a Wino mouthpiece.
As we previously mentioned, doctors reportedly discovered that the songstress has an irregular heartbeat, which - in addition to her severe drug abuse - could also be attributed to her years long battle with eating disorders.
A 'close friend' told the Brit rag, "Amy is in a bad way. Doctors are still struggling to control her heartbeat but the chest condition has been really worrying them."
Another source is quoted saying, "Things sound really bad, but at least now they have found something specific it will be easier to keep her in hospital and free from drugs.
Amy is still undergoing tests and doctors will soon decide whether she is able to keep her upcoming performing commitments later this month (Glastonbury, Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday celebration).
Her rep says, "She would really love to do the show – she always wants to do these things. But she will listen to her doctors."
We really hope that Amy stays on the right path after this latest hospitalization.

Perez, I hope they keep her in hospital for a year!!!! She is in very bad shape. It's a wonder she is even alive. I think she is an amazing talent and I want her to get well and make more music! She is probably suffering from malnutrition and her electrlytes are out of balance. If you don't have the right balance of potassium and sodium in your system it fucks up your heart really bad and can kill you. Her bones and her muscles are probably a wreck. I bet her organs inside are like some 90 year old!!! What a mess. She has eating disorders, she's an alcoholic and a hardcore drug addict. She is malnourished and probably is suffering npeumoia which is an opportunistic disease. on another note, sometimes people need to hit rock bottom before they can get better. i hope that amy gets all the help she needs and turns her life around. i'm not really a fan of hers, but i wish her nothing but the best.

I think it is horrible that these people get premium medical care while walking around giving Doctors and their Families the finger, taking their health for granted! All the while their are children and other people who struggle with finding medical care for NON-self induced issues such as Asthma and would give up anything to have the right if not just the means to the medical care these people think they deserve!

This is very serious. Irregular heartbeat + chest infection can = stroke. It happened to my father. He was in hospital for bad asthma attack, they noticed he was in Afib and then put him on medication. He threw a clot and had a stroke. He is, thank God, fine, but Amy's in a very dangerous situation. All you kiddies out there reading Perez getting a laugh at celebrity trainwrecks: think twice before using drugs. Wino is the posterchild for where they can take you. Hopefully this will be the kick in the ass she needs to clean up. Her system is in total revolt…if she doesn't get clean now we'll soon be reading about her death.

We have to try to be OPTIMISTIC about Amy and hope that this is her wake up call. Performing at shows and festivals and what not should be the last thing on her mind or any of her execs that signed her up…back off, give her the medical attention she needs and let her fully recover - then help her get back to work with a healthy mind and HEART!

I was just looking at a picture of Amy and her Blake husband from about a year ago when they were out on the street bleeding from the fight they had just had. My thought was that despite all the blood, etc.; Amy looked so much healthier that night than she does now She had some weight on her and her skin was clear and pretty. She's really gone down hill quickly and will not be around much longer if she doesn't rehab soon.
It is evident the girl does not want to live. She does not know where she is most of the time. A life wasted!
