Looks like the tour may not go on!
According to Paper magazine, U.S. customs has denied Boy George's visa into the country.
Sadly, BG will probably miss the NYC's Department of Sanitation's Family Picnic as well!
BG says, "I'm pretty devastated because I am so excited about this forthcoming tour and having my visa application denied seems unfair after I swept the streets of New York spotless. There are a number of public figures who are openly using drugs and they have no problem with immigration and I have seriously turned my life around and I feel great right now and this is just another reminder of how bad things were. I committed a crime and I happily paid the consequences and I should be allowed to move on and get on with what I do best and that is performing and making people people dance and cry!"

Boy George also reveals that he's been incredibly inspired by presidential candidate Barack Obama.
He told the mag, "I was deeply moved and motivated by Obama's 'Yes We Can' speech and I used it as a metaphor for personal change because there have been huge changes in my own life this past year. 'Yes We Can' equates as 'Yes I Can' from my own personal perspective and like many people I am excited by the prospect of Obama being the first black man in the White House and the next President of America. Most politicians fail to live up to the huge expectations we have for them but Obama exudes a sense of calm and after the stutterings of George Bush I feel he is just what America needs. I'm not too concerned about alienating Republicans because I'm pretty sure my audience is mostly Democratic!"

Lily Allen had the same problem and was banned from entering the USA, too! but she was interrigated at immigration for FIVE FUCKING HOURS just because she apparently didn't declare her arrest for attacking that paparazzi photographer last year! I've had shit from immigration, too and was treated like I was a drug user en route to LA from Toronto and I'd just had no sleep, was hungover and had been out at a party with friends the night before. I had my visa cancelled because I was declared "unstable for flying" and was even accused of working illegally in the US and it was all so over the top. They seriously need to chill out and stop making everyone feel guilty when more than half of fucking Hollywood is shady and on drugs!

I'm sure he had a visa to live and work in the U.S. when he lived in NYC. But when you get arrested (and he has been arrested twice) your visa can be revoked. I"m not sure of all the legal stuff, but if you do something bad, you lose your visa even if you were previously given one.
