Where is Brad going to stay while rebuilding NO? He probably will abandon the project. Angie and Brad have now realized the bit off more than they could chew with the humanitarian effort. I think Angie decided she liked the esthetic of them all walking around in the Quarter more than really doing it. I mean to walk around in the Quarter you gotta live in New Orleans, which presents a whole litany of it's own discomforts and inconveniences. But I seriously betcha that most of the people who really do live there took one look at the environmentally hip designs Brad had in mind for the Lower 9th Ward and had to suppress a laugh. First of all, most people with any clout at all in that city don't ever want to see development in the Lower 9th again. And if there is it's not gonna look like some grad-school project in enviro design. OK, here's it… The way the weather looks these days it could be a year away from another deluge of any part of southeast Louisiana, with the Lower 9th Ward being the lowest of any of it. Anything that's built there should be on 30-foot stilts to guarantee it stays dry. But, unfortunately if you ever were a kid growing up in a neighborhood below sea level you would never forget the feeling of how cool that was and so you would never want to think about it all being condemned and grown over forever.

It's absolutely crazy to talk about re-building most of it now, NOW THAT WE CAN SEE THE FUTURE OF RISING SEA LEVELS. I live in Nola - wow I feel so abandoned now. Snicker. Please, why even sell it unless you are cutting all ties with the city? it's only a 3.5 million dollar property. I men in retrospect 3.5 in Manhattan would buy you a 900 sq foot average place. It's common folk pricing up there. 3.5 is nothing to either of these two. The lower 9th ward pink/green whatever homes ARE a joke. I still have NO Idea what his intent is. To bring in hipsters to the area or to rebuild the 9th for it's original residents - who I CAN NOT see living in those ugly modern nothing to do with Nola home designs nor really affording them. Those were not affordable prices for the people who used to live there. 200,000 home maybe cheap real estate prices to much of the country but most nola residents can not afford that. If they could, they'd already be reseattled in just fine.

Good Grief Prez, the last thing they need to worry about is where they're going to stay when they visit Louisiana. The place in Paris is a long term LEASE, they are not buying the place. Brad doesn't need to be in Louisiana for the Make It Right Project all the time. He is ONE of many people involved in running the project. You know what that little Times-Picayune denial really translates to? They put the property out with selective realtors and after TC got ahold of it (two weeks ago) and the backlash started, Pitt and Jolie quickly reversed course.

Personally, I have to agree with the sentiment about letting the Lower 9th go. I've lived in Louisiana for years and in no place on this planet will you ever see, so much, the raw power of Mother Nature to have her will be done.

Take a ride down the Mississippi and when you get the Lower 9th, see what it's like to look 10-15 feet down into yards, homes, and schools that literally back up to the levee system. It's foolish and insulting to send people back there.

Before Brad Pitt, poor people HAD to live in the Lower 9th because they couldn't afford to go anyplace else. After Brad Pitt, his little gentrification project has done nothing but create a dangerous place, too expensive for those poor people. So, I guess next time, we'll have middle-class drownings.

Honestly I can't say that the thing Brad is doing is making a lick of difference for 99.5% of people here. Also the 9th ward is a BAD place to rebuild the land is not stable DUH YOU MORON. You have to make sure the houses are elevated high above ground and many people can't climb the ladders to get up there it's better in theory. Hes making like a solar science project cuz he is a pseudoarchitect you know. Those people cannot afford food they don't want solar panels . Just donate the money to shelters already established here.

A representative for Hollywood power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie denies the rumor that the pair has sold their French Quarter mansion.

"This rumor going around that they've sold or are selling their house in New Orleans is not true," said Trevor Neilson of the Jolie-Pitt Foundation. "It's just made up, as are a lot of things that are said about them."

The city conveyance office also did not have any record that the couple had sold their New Orleans home, which they bought in January 2007 under the name Mondo Bongo Trust.

The 9th Ward, most of New Orleans and the metro area was a hell hole before Katrina. No one would even consider going into the 9th Ward unless you lived there or were looking for drugs. All Katrina did was unmask (pun intended) the real New Orleans, trash, crime and more corrupt politicians than we can count. The touristas can put a bow on the Vieux Carre, but New Orleans is a very, very dangerous place. If I were the Jolie-Pitts I wouldn't want to raise my kids in N.O. either. Stay away.

Btw….the one thing I will never get out of mind…the sight of poor little "Pax" screaming his head off as Angelina Jolie dragged him on to a plane and away from his home, language, culture and loved ones. If she had cared for him at all, she would have left him where he was happy and instead given him financial support so that he could grow up healthy and educated. It IS possible to do that in a third world country you know.
