According to reports, Brad and Angelina have sold their Louisiana home.

Did they need the bucks for the down payment on the huge chateau they picked up in France?

The 1st 9th ward project is actually owned by a for-profit. The 2nd one, the manager is the son of an investor. The architects involved are the most elitist in the city, the same who have advocated building a 'richer' city all along.

It's not that the idiots had bad intentions….but Pitt and Jolie once again prove they have a very superficial understanding of real world problems. NOLA was not going to be fixed by photo ops and enticing the gossip rag photographers to follow them around Katrina-ravaged areas. That's the typical disconnect of a dilettante, and I think Pitt and Jolie constantly get in over their heads with this stuff. The fact that they are literally ADD in their focus on their various charitable initiatives causes no person in need to be served well and for everyone to conclude that 99% of what they are about is nothing more than self-serving bs.

Hahahahaha, typical liberal. His oppressive guilt moved him to buy a house in New Orleans among all the victims and mistreated. He quickly realized that New Orleans is a dirty, dangerous place and he was out of there fast. Wait until he discovers what life in France is all about - super high taxes, poor health care, much fewer goods and services as offered in the U.S., no stores or restaurants open past 6:00 pm, etc., etc., etc. I'd love to see the look on his stupid face the first time he spends a night at home there in France and he realizes that there are only three channels on TV and they go to fuzz at midnight, there is no delivery pizza and there are no stores open late to buy food or alcohol or condoms. It might just register in his clouded, liberal mind that life in the U.S. isn't really all that bad. Maybe it's time for him to stop listening to his Marxist "life partner" and appreciate America and its many gifts.

What I find so amusing is that Jolie is usually photographed all the time. Suddenly it is announced she had the babies, oh wait, she didn't and is not seen since. How obvious is it that her people leaked that story to ET to drum up the price of the first photos. It also proves that if she really didn't want the paps attention she knows how to stay away. That's why I love Jennifer Aniston. She is the only one in this bizarre nightmare who is and has remained normal. It's easy when you have a clear conscious and truth on your side. She is such a good, caring, sensitive person and soul. She deserves nothing but the best in life and Brad was not it. And Angie didn't care about her feelings or the vows she made with Brad. Look at what they created now? Do you really think it's be chance? Think not. This is EXACTLY what they wanted and hoped for. They would die of they stopped getting attention. I am so glad most people see through them. They are not good people, at all. Angelina Jolie does not care about Jennifer Aniston. She does not care about what we think or about what we say. We are the common people to her, we are less than dog poop to her (even her fans). And to herself (and to some on this blog and elsewhere) she is a god-literally–an object of worship. I am disturbed that their adultery is celebrated. I have hoped they would express regret and change- I am the sort of person who hopes people will learn from their mistakes and feel sorrow when they hurt others. These two have no regrets, and many applaud this.

If they were less famous, less attractive, less rich, many of you would HATE these guys (i.e. Denise Richards, Monica Lewinsky, etc.). I do not hate them but their lack of shame enrages me.

By the way-I am never coming to this blog again. I hate how perez calls J.Aniston maniston. that is too mean. And i dislike how mean he was about C. Feldman's admission he was molested as a child. It hasn't been lived in for over a year!!But I'm sure the electric/heat/ac have been on all this time. Whether the story of the Jolie-Pitts selling their home is true or not, the truth is they have never actually made New Orleans their home and haven't even been there for a very long time.

I thought it was kind of foolish to buy a home in the Quarter anyway. What were they thinking? That's no place for kids. Love the place, but it's a haven of drunken tourists flashing each other. And the statement Brad Pitt made about 'riding his bike around the city at night'. Yeah right. With 10 bodyguards. No one in their right mind wanders outside the tourist zone at night. There are plenty of lovely places in the Katrina-hit areas of Louisiana and Mississippi for making a home WITH children. The Quarter isn't one of them.

Anyone have any pictures of some of these completed Lower 9 homes built by MIR? The website only offers architectural renderings. All that is available in the way of an update is a little ticker that indicates they have barely met 50% of their original goal of 150 homes by this summer.

No need to get excited liz. This isn't about 'stealing husbands'. This is about the fact that these two (Jolie and Pitt) rarely finish what they start (which I suppose could include marriages), and the fact that REAL people with REAL problems are adversely affected by the flitting from one thing to another. We know the Maddox Foundation is no more. The MIR project goal is 150 homes for poor people in God-forsaken filled swampland. The jury's out as to whether they will see this one through.

Personally, I have to think rather than ask hardworking Americans to donate money, Brad Pitt, and ten of his best rich LA friends, could have just put up a couple of million a piece to pay for these homes. So I wouldn't be too quick to judge Jennifer Lopez on that one…especially since SHE isn't asked to be 'paid' in the 'currency' of unseemly public adoration and worship for her charitable efforts. I can pop off 10 rich people who would jump through hoops for Brad Pitt, so I know it's a reasonable idea.
