George Carlin has passed away.

Shit! Piss! Fuck! Cunt! Cocksucker! Motherfucker! Tits!

The legendary comedian was admitted to Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica on Sunday and died later that evening of heart failure.

Carlin had a history of heart problems and drug dependency.

He was 71 years old.

George Carlin was an insititution. He made adults laugh and he touched children too when he was the conductor on Thomas The Train Engine. He is one of the people who knew that he made a difference. That is a nice way to have lived a life. He will be missed.

truly a sad day in world history. the man was a legend. I was fortunate enough to see him once recently before he passed away. If the everyone were as insightful as George Carlin, he wouldn't have had anything to joke about! He will be missed.

      To idiot #1:
Those curse words are his "7 words you can't say on TV". It incited a freaking federal court case. Look it up.

The rest of the idiots calling out Perez for cursing in Mr. Carlin's memorial post— are you KIDDING me? If he really is watching the destruction of the human race on his Heavenly CNN, he is LOVING this!

Somewhere, George is choked up and saying "Aww, fuck you too guys. Really. *Sniffle*"

I am so sad. There are now words. I was at his last show and I will never forget it. I am 25 years old. We were in Vegas, had no plans to go see him, and I saw in the paper that he was playing. My bf and I got so excited… when would we ever have the chance again to see such a legend? I am so glad we did it. Great seats too.

He went on and on about how he was an "old fuck." Religion is bullshit. No one goes to heaven and "smiles down at people" and why don't people ever talk about "smiling up at people" LOL

I will wait 6 weeks to cross him out of my phone book, just like he did with his friends. RIP GC. Thanks for the memories, they will last me a lifetime.

      93

George Carlin is the influence for so many comedians today. This man was so good that a censorship law was made because his "Seven Words" act was played on the radio (after he had already been fined for "disturbing the peace" presenting it in a show in Wisconsin).
For those who keep responding about Perez's indecent language towards Carlin: a censorship law was passed in 1978 after Carlin's act was played on radio. After that, indecendent radio shows can only be played after 8 p.m. and only before a certain time in the morning (I believe to be 10 a.m.) because the hours between 10 a.m.-8 p.m. are deemed "family hour" where children may be listening to the radio. I took my communication law class about 7 years ago, so if someone wants to correct me on the present hours go ahead.
