A publicist for Amy Winehouse's record label has said that the singer's father, Mitch Winehouse, 'misspoke' in a statement to the Brit media 'out of his concern for her.'
The publicist went on to say, "She is not diagnosed with full-blown emphysema, but instead has early signs of what could lead to emphysema."
Whatever she's got, she doesn't give a shit!
Wino was photographed smoking just yesterday, upon her release from hospital.
In a new interview with BBC Radio, 1 after his rant to the print media, Daddy Wino appeared to downplay his doomsday statements, and said, "Amy really hasn't got emphysema, there's traces of emphysema. Obviously, if she doesn't quit smoking, it's going to get worse, like everyone else … with patience her lungs will recover completely."
Daddy Wino has also said that it would be good for Wino to perform, "When she's been inactive work-wise then that's when the problems really start. The doctors have said that medically there isn't any reason why she can't do Glastonbury."
The music festival is this weekend.

I saw actress Teri Garr on David Letterman the other night. She hobbled to the stage, and I wondered why I had not seen her in such a long time. She used to be on Letterman all the time. Then Teri began explaining that she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). She also had a brain aneurysm earlier this year that almost killed her. Yet she is laughing and telling jokes on David Letterman and wants to live to be over 100. I see her situation, then I see Amy Winehouse, and I think, what a waste. Teri should have Amy's opportunities to get better. Amy should count her blessings.

I love that statement about "traces of emphysema"… you either have emphysema or you don't…. its kinda like being a Little Pregnant. I am sad for how fucked up she is, but if she can't care about herself….someone else should and intervene. Someone close to her….Drop a net over her and MAKE her get some help.
