Looks like Hulk Hogan and family have ruined things for a 4th of July charity event!

Non profit organization The Freedom Group felt it was best to cancel their annual "National Wave" — which basically would have been a bunch of people across the country waving towels in unison at 9:00 PM on July 4 — because of the Hogans.

Hulk has been 'the face' of The Freedom Group.

The incarcerated Nick Hogan actually used to work for the organization as well!

Freedom Group spokesperson Sean Schumura said, "We didn't want people entangling us into some soap opera."

Ironically, Schumura testified on Nick's behalf at his sentencing.

Hogan's manager, Darren Prince, went on spin offensive and said, Schumura and the Freedom Group "believe and love Hulk and decided it would be best to postpone the event."

He went on to say that the "soap opera" Schumura referred to was the "media and paparazzi that would show up purely to ask about his personal life and not the event at hand."

Uh huh.

P.S. Sounds like a stoopid event anyways!

      The event is a fundraiser and the money raised was supposed to go to John Graziano's health care and another disabled teenager. They should have replaced Hulk Hogan with someone more deserving but instead they cancelled the whole event. Dumb part on the organizations end.

      hey Perez…im a faithful reader, but as someone from beaver county where the event is held…or was going to be held…Hulk brought a LOT of revenue to a very depressed area, and the event was inspired by local men who've died for our country. It's not a stupid idea, Hulk Hogan just happens to be the Don of a very piggish and disgusting family (somethin as a fan Im disappointed in) and has ruined something that people in this county were looking forward to celebrating again. Glad you're dismissing something you know NOTHING about. Maybe now that Kurt Angles clean, HE can be the spokesperson for the event next year. Fuck Hulk Hogan

      The National Wave was launched in my hometown of Freedom, PA - a shitty little backwater suburb of pittsburgh where the most notable thing is the expressway leading out of it - it has a massive countdown billboard up, and ..that was it. Nothing else was said or publicized about this big joke.
