Henry "The Fonz" Winkler is the keynote speaker for the upcoming South Carolina Realtors Conference.
We have nothing against South Carolina or realtors, but ouch!
Hope the Fonz is making a load of money off the S.C. gig!

I mean, Henry Winkler is in a good economic place in his career. He still gets the occasional good acting job (like on Arrested Development) but doesn't have to work anymore.
Speaking engagements are like a license to print money. He'll probably get tens of thousands of dollars for a single speaking engagement, and only has to do a couple hours work, if that.
Bill Clinton does it for hundreds of thousands.
It's not as if Henry Winkler's career is in the crapper. He probably just wants to be home with his family more often.

He will probably talk about the things he overcame in life…I think he suffered from dyslexia, etc. From there he'll talk about Happy Days, Night Shift (hilarious movie), starting a family and now writing children's books. Winkler has more money then you know! Besides the acting gigs, he's produced many successful TV series, films and mini-series. The Fonz is not (thankfully) in need of money. But…speaking gigs are very lucrative. He is probably getting $50,000 for what amounts to a day out of his life.

Henry is one of the true great….people that have graced the industry and STAYED grounded thorough all of it.
Any industry, real estate included, has its ups and downs and staying grounded is important.
Plus, he's written 15 childrens books (Hank Zipzer) and he's also dyslexic. Henry lifts people up, when life always seems to want to tear you down.

He is apparently a phenomenal motivational speaker - his connection to realtor's is beyond me, but, I do know that he is also speaking at an event in Ontario, Canada with regards to learning disabilities.
He has worked and lived for years with an LD and apparently does a great job as a keynote speaker, motivating others, etc…

I live in Milwaukee (where "Happy Days" was set) and next month they are unveiling a "Bronze Fonz" statue on our Riverwalk and the whole cast is going to be here. Well except Scott Baio who said he was "too busy now that he has a kid". What a chotch.
