NBC must be doing cartwheels!

The Office mastermind, Brit comedy genius Ricky Gervais, revealed on his blog that Steve Carell has signed a contract for three more years of 'Michael Scott 'madness with the U.S. version of the show.

We're sure Steve banked a rich deal!

Gervais went on to say that the team's working hard on The Office spinoff but wouldn't reveal any details.

The spinoff has a lot to live up to!

      Yet Ricky himself said how he would only do several episodes of his Office so it wouldn't jump the shark, so to speak. Like Fawlty Towers only had 12 episodes. I prefer what the British do with their comedies: They only have short series with exception to Only Fools and Horses which ran for too long. Wheareas here in the US they try and make so much money and bleed something dry. I'm already over it.

      This man is a comedic genius. I saw Get Smart last night and it is wonderfully funny. Anne Hathaway and Steve Carrell really click as a team. And I love The Office….it's as bizarre as any place I've ever worked……."Cough* THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID*Cough"
