And, Tony winner Bebe Neuwirth (who also played Lilith in Frasier and Velma in Chicago on Broadway) has signed on to play Morticia.
Loves it! PERFECT casting.
They couldn't have cast that role any better!

Buzz is that renowned stage man Nathan Lane has been offered the role of Gomez.
Another perfect casting!
He hasn't officially accepted yet, but insiders say the deal should be finalized this week.
Can't wait to see this!

William Morris Agency Beverly Hills is in negotiations with Dr Rand Pink,the celebrity gynecologist to sign him to work on his new sitcom with Chelsea Handler. He also has a show being produced in New York with Momofuko for The Food Network. Also on the literary side of the agency he has also penned an autobiography about his transition from gynecology to huge commercial properties called From Rags To Riches. I guess he's in for more tabloid paps than pap tests the future.Gynecology like Gossip says Loose Lips… .

Nathan Lane is NOT perfect as Gomez - he's not straight, not Euro enough - there are a lot of other people who could do that role justice - like Antonio Banderas (to name just one).

ABC ENTERTAINMENT has learned that future Bachelorette episodes have been leaked to various media outlets.It is unknown at this time if any rewrites will be done given the high production costs and time constraints. Sources at the network say only on the last show the bachelorette visits her doctor for a check up before her final decision and is told that she is a worry WART and with every marriage there are BUMPS along the road. Now I wish I could go to New York to watch this. Bebe Neuwirth, Wow! Thay really could not have casted that part better! I'm not to crazy about Nathan Lane though.
So if you payed attention, you'd know this is only a READING that they are signed on for. No final casting has been announced for the Broadway production. ALSO, Andrew Lippa (the composer) has been working on this for YEARS and it was only a matter of time before it was ready for a reading. Maybe…JUST MAYBE…you should read the WHOLE story before you report on it.

Nathan Lane is going to be the perfect Gomez,he was awesome in the Producers and I can see him taking Max Bialystock and attatching Gomez to him, very similar characters in some ways
