She is right…Her song lip gloss came out LAST YEAR and they just released her album a couple months ago…I didnt even know it came out until I saw her soundscan's and she only sold 17,000 copies….But at the same time if she had TRUE FANS and they LISTENED b/c she is the VOICE OF THE YOUNG PEOPLE then they would have known her album came out…I personally think her Label didnt promote her well but I dont think she is AS RELEVANT to the music business as she assumes…..
and yeah, JIVE has gotten quite lazy with promotion. after having to promote britney's album without britney and figuring "Britney doesn't need promotion, she's Britney", i guess they just figured Lil Mama was doing enough stuff to promote her album and make herself known, but all the stuff she was doing like guest appearances in songs and America's Best Dance Crew, those weren't meant to promote her album so yeah, JIVE failed on this one.

None of the record companies seem to know what they're doing at this point. There's never any real hit music anymore, like the kind when it's so big that even your grandma knows who the person singing is and knows the song like Michael Jackson or Backstreet Boys. Music has sucked for the last couple of years. It's the retards who run the record companies fault. As long as they get their cocaine and a porsche, they don't give a shit.

to be honest, look at all the award shows. The last time stevie wonder, michael jackson or sting made music and were on stage at these shows, was the last time music was relevent. you must all agree. and if you don't. you never expeirenced this.

THen she was on other stuff, like Shawty get loose w/ CB and she still didn't have an album out then it came out and no one knew! I would be pissed at her label to if that were me.
