Is Wesley Snipes desperate for cash to pay the Feds?

Snipes' lawyers have asked the judge overseeing his tax case to let the actor leave the country for work.

The tax evader wants to work on two films, Gallowwalker and Chasing the Dragon in London and in Bangkok, Thailand.

Interesting.

There's a lot of jungle Wes can get 'lost' in around Bangkok.

Good luck getting that request through, Wes!

And, while you're abroad, hop on a few planes, a train and go into hiding.

      If they take a (returnable) cash deposit that is larger than his total fine for tax evasion, he would probably not be a flight risk, as he'd have to hide rather than make more money, I mean, movies; and even if he did decide to disappear, they'd have their tax money, and could slap him in jail with extra time if they ever caught up with him. This whole case was about him hangin' on to his money, and money is how you ensure that he comes back. I'd be surprised if they let him out of the country, but stranger things have happened.

      Anytime I read about Snipes not paying his taxes, I remember several posts I saw on line about how he NEVER TIPS. (It's some site where restaurant folks dish on how well celebs treat them). Yeah, over and over servers said this BLOWHARD would spend hundreds or thousands on champagne, booze and food for him and his entourage, then leave the server a big fat ZERO TIP.

      The judge in this case should already be off the case by allowing him to be out of jail while he waits on appeal. ARE YOU FLIPPING KIDDING ME!! Yeah, how about we let every convicted criminal stay out of jail awaiting appeal. Great idea!! The jails would be empty and my tax dollars could go to something else.       I just watched a documentary this week about the legendary boxer, Joe Louis. Louis inspired millions of Americans and donned the uniform and served in WWII. But he came home to a segregated America and found himself in debt and with an I.R.S. problem. Even though he tried to pay off the debt, it reached a point where the government was taking 90% of his earnings to satisfy the fees and penalties. Nevermind he was a father, nevermind his valiant service in the military. He was mercilessly pursued and persecuted.

      I can't help but support Wesley Snipes' tax dodging. The government has royally screwed a lot of people. The time has come to show them what we think about them.
