Oh STFU Perez. I have them too. They run in my family. It is way more painful to get them removed. I know. I have several family members who paid out of their pocket to have surgery as insurance doesn't cover it. They say it is the most painful thing ever. They are not at all painful for me the way they ARE, and I, like a lot of other people who have them, are not so self absorbed that we find it more important to go thru and pain and expense to have them removed. You're an idiot about somethings, and just plain rude.

It is extremely painful! Surgery does require weeks off, I've been through it and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!

It's people who learn to accept it and enjoy more meaningful things in life who are truly content. Why do you think Oprah gives so much of her wealth away? Poor Oprah.. my mom & grandmother had feet like this. They had to have surgery to straighten their toes back out. The actually had to put metal rods down the length of the toes with almost a cork on the end and stay like that for a while. I don't think those are bunions… IMHO Plus, who the f cares what her feet look like. Y'all should look in the mirror anyhow :-S So petty

I had bunions that were EXTREMELY painful. They run in my family. I did everything I could to avoid surgery, but couldn't. And FYI to those who think that corrective surgery means them shaving the bone, if a Dr tells you that is what they are going to do, RUN! The only way to permanently fix the bunion is to break the toe, realign the bones and secure with a small rod. The recovery is at least 6-8 weeks off your feet. Shaving the bone is merely cosmetic and will return as the bone becomes more and more distorted. Yes, the operation and recovery were painful, but the pain only lasted 2 months compared to agony everyday before. That being said, if I had not had pain, I would have never had the operation for vanity reasons. Having "perfect" feet isn't worth the pain and potential dangers that surgery can bring.

I had to have bunion surgery when I was 21. I had put it off for 3 years at that point, and it hurt like hell. I was on crutches for 2 months and a boot type cast for 3. My bunion is starting to come back now, 10 years later. I'll put that surgery off as long as I can.
