Good news!!!
The Norwegian media is reporting that Pete Doherty has cancelled his concert at the Hove Festival today in Norway.
Who would even want to see his band, Babyshambles, perform?
Apparently Doherty was too tired to perform at the event.
Poor thing. Must be so tiring living his life.
At least we know he's not taking speed!
Sources are saying that aside from cancelling this performance, Doherty will also be cancelling his shows for the rest of the year.
Let's pray that's true!

well supposedly, his record label has not been in contact with the band management about this, and several sources who work with booking the major festivals around europe have spoken out about the lack of seriousness within th bands management. they are supposedly just as bad and off track as the band (and doherty) themselves.
anyways, rumours have it that he (doherty) also fired his manager today so who knows whats actually going on there…

Actually, Babyshambles are a great band. Pete Doherty, as big a druggie as he may be, is a good musician and a mastermind with lyrics. He is quite gifted. Perez doesn't know good music - just look at the stuff he likes. Cazwell? Puh-leeze. Anyway, I'm sick of people talking smack about Winehouse, Doherty, etc. It's their business if they're on drugs. How is that different from the Stones, Beatles and pretty much any band from the 70's and 80's??? Sex, Drugs & Rock n Roll baby! Most musicians are on drugs because they are tortured souls. Yes, Norway is really friggin beautiful. It's one of the richest countries in the world but it is a lawless society. I happen to live in good old Norway, and one of the first things tourists who visit Norway see when they arrive at the train station in Oslo, are a bunch of drug addicts injecting drugs on the lawn outside. I have travelled a lot and have lived in different countries, and I have never been so bloody ashamed in my life. It's disgusting and just goes to show how our government run the country. People USE DRUGS OPENLY IN NORWAY and there are laws against it, but they let it continue. This is the Norway that people don't talk about, and the world should know !!!

It's a shame that people who only know him because he dated Kate Moss are judging him. It's sad to watch him self-destruct so badly. He is so talented, and when he is not wasted out of his mind, he really does have a great voice and presence on stage. I wish he could pull himself together. I saw an E-biography on him a couple of years ago, where he mom was interviewed. It was so sad to see how pained she was over Pete's drug use. It seems like it's too late for anything to help him anymore. I've heard that once you're on heroin, you might as well buy yourself a burial plot.
