Clay Aiken was in the African nation of Somalia on Wednesday and appealed to the world not to forget Somalia, where conflict and hunger have created one of the world's worst humanitarian crises.

Clay traveled to the struggling nation as a U.N. goodwill ambassador.

Aiken went on to say that the U.S. and international interest in Somalia had been minimal since failed military intervention in the early 1990s, "There hasn't been much discussion of Somalia since the early 1990s in the U.S. The American population kind of got a bad taste of Somalia in the early 90's and hasn't really had much interest in the country since."

We tip our hat to Clay for getting involved and using his 'fame' for a good cause.

Did he take his boyfriend on the trip???

      Still, I think that its the countries own fault for the hunger, and such. If they don't have enough food or money for their children. Don't have children in the first place, you know? If I was not prepared, and couldn't raise a child in the "proper" way. Or have a great childhood for him or her. I wouldn't even think about bringing a child into the world. We have enough of that stuff going on in our own country/ies (I'm from Canada, but I know that it's going on in the USofA too) why don't we try to fix the problem in our own country/ies before trying to save another?

Our people are mixing and mixing. It's rare to see a pure Somali.       Aiken has been doing humanitarian work for years long before he became famous. Even his high school friends talk about how he used to arrange charitable events for children, seniors & the disabled in his teens. He volunteered at the Y, ran summer camps for kids & with his first record advance from RCA & donations from fans started a foundation for disabled children. He's been a UNICEF ambassador for 4 years & has traveled at his own expense to Indonesia after the tsunami, to wartorn Uganda where his life was at risk, to Afghanistan where females are finally being allowed to go to school, to flood-ravaged Mexico over his Christmas holiday, & now the most dangerous area of Somalia. He's also volunteered time & money to many other children's charities. Aiken is one of the good guys & if Pukez cannot see that, it proves what a truly evil soul Pukez really is & all the sycophants who read his childish scribbles.
