His parents must be so proud.
Redmond O'Neal, the 23 year-old son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal, was arrested earlier this year for speeding on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
Yesterday, in a Malibu court, O'Neal pleaded guilty to possessing heroin and methaphetamine during the time of his arrest.
Craziness!
O'Neal plead guilty to two felony counts and a misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of drugs.
What an idiot.
He could have killed someone driving around high!!!!!
As part of his plea deal, a second DUI charge was dismissed.
O'Neal has been sentenced to three years of probation and was fined a bit under $2,000.
That's it???? NO jail time??????
Redmond has also been ordered to stay in drug treatment until a judge can determine next month if he can enter a drug-diversion program on felony charges.

A good percentage of the young adults in Hollywood do or have done just what Redmond did, but haven't been caught. Most luckily find responsible adulthood unscathed. This young man obviously has his father and mother's passion, and if he can focus it on something productive, I have the feeling there could be no stopping him. A little hard time might have stopped him, but hopefully he can find work that he loves anyway and come out the other side to help others.

Funny, I remember years ago reading an interview with Farrah (when she was doing those Playboy shoots), where she bragged about her son Redmond talking about his mom and how she was so thin and beautiful and perfect, and so toned, and how none of the young girls he knew could compare. It was just about the creepiest stuff I've ever come across, and I remember thinking at the time that her kid was going to turn out to be one messed up dude. No surprises here. I'm sorry Farrah has cancer, and I'm sorry her son is going through all this while she's most likely dying, but…you reap what you sow. Maybe Farrah should have put a little bit more into raising her son instead of obsessing about her toned thighs and fluffy hair.
Imagine going through life having people cluck their tongues saying, "How could he be so ugly when Mom and Dad were gorgeous?" People suck. This is a horrid mugshot taken when he just got busted.
Redmond has had drug problems for years. He Od'd from shooting cocaine years ago, and almost died. Ryan's an alcoholic, and Farrah is a narcissistic nut who obsessively paints and sculpts only one image…herself. I feel sorry for this guy. I hope he gets help. He's going to lose his mother most likely in the not-too-distant future, which does not justify endangering other people's lives. He'll probably go to a gorgeous rehab like "Promises" in Malibu where they can all moan how their rich parents never give them any money. A realtor TOld me Ryan O'Neal invested in high end trailer parks in California and netted $40 millon bucks a few years ago. But 2 of his kids are junkies. Go figure.
P.S. Agree about the comparison to the Jolie-Pitt natural offspring. The only thing Shiloh is certain to have as an adult is a huge complex from the expectation that everyone has that she must turn out to be the most gorgeous creature in the history of the universe. Sad.
