Sequel On Hold
The guy who directed Cloverfield revealed that plans for a sequel have been put on hold until the filmmakers can come up with an idea as 'interesting' as the original.
Hopefully that will never happen!
They're trying to find new ways to make movie goers puke?
"The thing that we sort of promised ourselves is we only wanted to do another one if we could come up with something that felt as fresh to us to make as that one did," said the director.
So there's a good chance we may see nothing at all?
Some of the ideas for the next film include a prequel that would go into the backstory of the creature that attacks New York in the original or a parallel story set on the same night with different characters.
The Cloverfield director said that both of those ideas have been under discussion.

What frustrates me the most is that even after such a horrible movie-a movie which I was car sick for most of time, do we decide to add an idiotic prequel.I don't care where this movie comes from all I care is that they may inflict another one on us–haven't we been burned enough by this junk…………….
Brilliant movie, and I love how it takes at least half a brain to watch it in comparison to most Hollywood movies.

I would absolutely NOT see the sequel. Wish I didn't see the first.
I would go see it if they do the parallel story idea. That's what my friend and I came up with after seeing the movie and it's a good idea.
