It's the worst kept secret in Hollywood, but….

Nicolette Sheridan is coming back to Desperate Housewives this coming season.

Her character left the show at the end of this season.

But, shortly thereafter, series creator Marc Cherry hinted that she'd be back and all future episodes would take place, appropriately, in the future - a few years forward.

And, to spice things up, Edie's even getting a new love interest.

Exciting!

      She's so unoriginal. She's trying too hard to be Gwyneth Paltrow. A lot of women in Hollywood are copycats.
      I was watching Season 4 of SATC the other day. Charlotte's MIL walked in while Char & Trey were doing it. Char turned around while she was on top and it reminded me of that Miley Cyrus photospread. Same hairstyle, same position, same facial expression. Destiny Hope is a plain ol' copycat.
      A lot of people rip off SATC. Desperate Housewives does it all the time. The gardener thing was just the tip of the iceberg.

      Edie never left the show at the end, at least that was really unclear. The women turned their backs on her but she never said anything about moving away.

      Good! I love Edie! And I loved how the show ended. I know alotta people didn't, but I thought it was great. IMO the show had really gotten stale. I hope the fast forwarding idea will help spice things up again!

      Woo Hoo!! Great news.. although I suspected when Marc Cherry said Edie would be gone for "a few years", hence the flash forward mode. Nicolette is awesome… glad to have her back on the show.

      I read that her new love interest is Neal McDonough. He was on Boomtown and some other shows. He usually has very blond hair with very blue eyes. I like him but sometimes he's a little creepy. Her supposed exit from the show makes a good cliffhanger.

      Stupidest idea ever. I do not want to see Desperate Housewives 5+ years in the future. Gabby is not supposed to be frumpy and chasing after two chubby kids, Lynette's boys are not supposed to be juvenile delinquents, Susan is supposed to be with Mike and not some random dude and Bree is supposed to be the bitchy busy body neighbour, not some high powered exec. Lame-o.

      DH is this years #1 rated scripted tv show…ahead of Greys and CSI! So anyone that questions if people watch this show…ITS HUGE! And Nicolette coming back will def keep things exciting on the show…and how about this years cliff hanger one of the best since the Dynasty, Melrose, Dallas days! GO DH!

      At one time I thought she was a lot of fun to watch, BUT after the commercial where she disgraces her own race and throws herself at some low life affykan I wouldn't spit on the best part of her (whatever that is?)
