Rose McGowan has just landed another role in a picture backed by her fiance, director Robert Rodriguez.
Rodriguez will produce a new big-screen adventure featuring the flame-haired comic-book vixen Red Sonja - to be played by McGowan, of course - for a release in 2010.
Robert considers Rose a perfect fit as the mighty, voluptuous character. He says, "Rose is a pistol. She's whip-smart, has attitude to burn, is sexy, extremely strong, yet has a vulnerable side that would surprise her closest friends. That description also fits Red Sonja."

Even though I sometimes find her fashion sense a bit lacking(in more ways than one), I surprisingly have a new respect for her after seeing her on TCM speaking about classic movies. She seems to have a wordly intelligence about her that you can't fake. I also love that she doesn't need to be 1000 shades of tan(orange) and seems comfortable in her own skin. She's confident, intelligent, and attractive. It definitely won't be the first time someone slept to the top, so if she gives an entertaining performance that's what counts.

Well, first of all, I don't hate her or think she's a "homewrecking whore" or whatever horrible name you called her. I believe that a marriage of 15 years cannot dissolve without BOTH partners contributing to the downfall of the union.
It was lacking something WAY before Rose came along. Maybe Rose and Robert are soul-mates and his marriage was a mis-step in his fate. They had some beautiful children out of all of it.
I don't know that I would get along with Rose McGowan in person–I would hope that I would. I do know that she is a talented actress, undeniably. And I believe she is beautiful. And some of my favorite directors–and some of the best–have been inspired by one or two actresses or actors in particular and use them over and over again in their films. Quentin Tarantino, Baz Luhrman, Tim Burton, and Charlie Chaplin, to mention just a few.
As for her relationship with Marilyn Manson speaking for itself, I would have to argue that Manson is an incredibly innovative, original, creative, inventive musician and composer who has a really interesting, dark way of conveying his messages of dissatisfaction and anger to the rest of the world. He has been involved with several beautiful women throughout his career because he is a fascinating, albeit strange, individual.

Rodriguez's career is NOT crap. I am a horror afficianado. His collaborations with Tarantino in Deathproof and Planet Terror (GRINDHOUSE) were fucking AWESOME.
I LOVED that he used his own son in the car scene where the young boy blows his brains out. I mean, he's a CHILD. That is SO taboo–the shock value was over-the-top.
But, again, I am a horror junkie. And if you understand horror, you understand GRINDHOUSE. You understand purposeful missing scenes, purposeful costume mistakes, purposefully bad acting, and lots and lots of violence, blood, and gore, as well as many scenes with half-naked or naked sexy females in various states of undress and in the midst of having sex jump up to battle zombies or kill vampires or ward off undead psycho killers or nightmare demon monsters.
Rodriguez is a master of his craft. McGowan is a goddess of her craft. Each of them is brilliant, bright, energetic, creative, versatile, beautiful, sexy, strong, well-built, fun-loving, and incredibly interesting. Each of them seems to be a very sexual creature. If I were single and interested in looking for another person to spend my time with, I would be happy to get tangled up in the sheets with either one of them.

Re: A. – The box office speaks for itself. Grindhouse tanked royally and didn't even recoup its' budget. Go see how much it made~ maybe 1/3 of that. SAD. SAD. SAD. That's why they released the movie in 2 parts in Europe (Deathproof and Planet Terror), to try to recoup some of the lost $$$$$$$$. And two separate releases at Blockbuster.
According to boxofficemojo.com, the budget for Grindhouse was $67 million. Domestic box office was a little over $25 million. Poorly reviewed movie also, and bad choice of release date~ EASTER weekend!
