It's about time!

Looks like Ticketmaster will have some serious competition. Hopefully this will cause it to be competitive - and lower its prices!!!!!!

Live Nation, the owners and promoters of music venues all around the world (who also gave Jay Z and Madonna those crazy $100 million contracts), will be launching its own ticketing arm once its contract with Ticketmaster expires at the end of the year.

A little competition is always good for us buyers!

But at the end of the day, Live Nation is a big corporation, too.

Just plan on them taking your money in other ways - like scalping their own tickets!

      I for one think concerts are a scam.
      There's no more sponataneity and every detail is planned.
      To pay so much for a ticket when the DVD will come out a month later
      showing you the exact same thing proves my point.

      Please, fees for Live Nation ticketing will be the same as Ticketmasters, except with Ticketmaster, they never got any money from the ticket price, just the service charge. When Live Nation is making the money from the ticket too, what their excuse for the high service charge fees?

      I've always loved Madonna, but feel that she has become waaaay to arrogant.
      She puts herself on a pedestal which wouldn't even be there if all those knuckle heads would'nt pay that ridiculous amount that she is charging for her show. I think we should look more into buying Janet Jackson tix this year and support a woman who isn't trying to rip her fans off. Lately, I have been seeing Madonna as a power hungry artist who doesn't give a shit about her fans by charging such a ridiculous amount to see her show. BTW- The Hard Candy album is no where near as good as the "Confession" album. Stuart Price is the man and she should've wroked w/ him again, instead of hiring cliche prodecers like Timbaland. Are we really supposed to Justin Timberlake seriously as an artist? Please! He fooled all of America! He was a member of a boy band group and we supposed to take him "seriously" as a producer?       I have a similar face shape to Madonna IT IS SO OBVIOUS TO SEE how in this photo her FACIAL EXPRESSION pulls in and steches her cheeks over the bone structe - God! She could even be sucking IN air. Look in the mirror and make the same shape as her with your mouth, and tilt your head down slightly and YOUR cheekbones will probably look more pronounced. Unless you're really really fat.
      This PLUS clever use of blush/bronzer to 'sculpt' AND the fact that she has lost weight accounts for Madonna's cheekbones.
