Everyone Wants a Piece of the Comeback Spotlight

This could be good…or really bad!

Molly Ringwald revealed in a recent interview that she would be up for doing a Sixteen Candles sequel.

Ringwald says, "It was something that I definitely wanted to do, but [writer-director] John Hughes wasn't interested, and I didn't feel comfortable doing it without his involvement. If we can get John to agree, I think it would be great. I think there are definitely a lot of people who would love to see it, and I would love to do it."

Perhaps, John Hughes knows what's best. Why mess with a classic?

I was in 10th grade when this came out. Needless to say, I've seen it 50 times. Funny as hell, I can recite all the lines. I would love to see a sequel if they came out with a script. Don't forget Long Duck Dong and the oily bo-hunk. And Jenny. Muscle relaxed out Jenny. John Huges was brilliant in the 80's. Loved all his movies. Anthony Michael Hall has GOT to be in the sequel, too!

yes, here is the plot.

It's 20 years later, she is divorced, she has two kids that hook in the school for lunch money. Molly returns as the mother, and has herpes, but she can't get a date, as the school is winding up to graduate.

The Geek, who was after Ringwald, is rich and banging playboy playmates, cuz they are all hooker in real life,( come on they are all putas) he decides to recapture how he loved being a geek, now he is a corporate raider that rapes 3rd world countries.

he finally get to bang molly, but gets the herpes, they all laugh at the end, then the geek sues molly for giving him herpes.

It's a sell!!!! want the script, call me. perez, hand out the email.

I love "16 Candles", I'd love to see another movie. Obviously they're not going to do a remake so I don't think "messing with a classic" is really appropriate as they can't put 40 year-olds into 16 year-olds. I'm sure Ringwald just meant that she'd love to get the cast together again and make another feel-good period-piece movie about friends and life's mishaps. I'd love to see it!
