No Strike - Yet

As the big media moguls' deal with the actors' unions is set to expire today, no strike is in place.

The Screen Actors Guild has announced that it is not planning a walkout - as of now - and that it intends to stay at the bargaining table in good faith.

Gotta resolve this before it gets messy!

They have to go on strike! They certainly won't get what they want or deserve by just asking for it. AFTRA is dragging out their ratification process to increase the pressure on SAG, especially after the SAG contract expires (TODAY!). The only power workers have now is unions and going on strike!! JUST DO IT!!!

ARE THEY SERIOUS!!!!???? Hollywood actors many making more in a day than I make in a year (as my family and I struggle to pay for gas, food, etc. (and the inflated cost of watching them prance and preen on screen) can actually sit there, with a straight ((ok, perhaps not so straight for many) and demand MORE money?! I hope they DO go on strike and LOSE! They will certainly lose me as a "fan." I mean the unadulterated (and in the case for many, adulterated, nerve). This whole affair disgusts me!!!! I declare that I am going on strike against such prima-donnas and ne'er do wells.

I love all these strikes. They motivated me to stop going to the movie theatre as often. I cut back on TV, too (bye bye, cable). Now, I just rely on Netflix and the new free Digital TV signal. SAVING A TON OF CASH!!! BTW, the new Digital TV signal is fantastic. I think it's better than cable. What surprises me is that I get better reception with an antenna I bought at the dollar store, than I did with my more expensive amplified antenna. I think the cable company's really going to take a hit. LOL!!!
