We had a lovely chat about everything from his most recent troubles to Madonna, Matt Lucas, the Spice Girls, Mika, Pete Burns, David Bowie and more.
Oh, and George even played us a snippet of the new song he wrote inspired by Barack Obama - complete with lip synching and some choreography!

That was great. I've been a great fan of George since the early 80s. It's good to see that he is healthy and doing well. He is inspiring in his own way.

Great interview in that Boy George seems to be in a great place and he has a great sense of humour! But Perez, it was a bit tough on the ears what with you screaming with that annoying voice of yours. At least tone it down a bit, will ya'? I almost had to turn it off before the interview was even halfway over!
WOW annoying. As much as I'm semi-interested, I can't stand listening to this with the audio all effed up. Perez your voice is SO LOUD on here (and really annoying - you are such a whiner) and we can hardly hear Boy.

He looks great, he sounds great, he is great. When he took off his glasses it took my breath away, he's still so beautiful. I just love this man, and the new song sounds wonderful, I only wish this interview would have gone longer. It's nice for him to be interviewed by someone not mainstream who doesn't ask stupid questions.

Before you interview someone Perez…do a litle research. When you asked George about his Bowie shirt……lol. Bowie is someone he idolizes and in his eyes onne of the great artists of our time. Let me give you a clue…..READ "TAKE IT LIKE A MAN". I love your site….but before you start interviewing..don't get too busy to rresearch.
I must say that I have a whole new respect for Boy George. I like this nicer less "bitchy" side of him. He was actually very interesting to listen to and I would certainly enjoy sitting down to tea with him. The new music is great also!
I have to agree with a previous commenter, Perez. You really should avoid the cell phone yell that everyone does. I guess many people think that they have to yell loud to get the person on the other end to hear them. Technology has taken care of all of that now where you can converse with a normal voice.
Also, television is not easy. I know, I work in it. On TV, you have a staff to do all the research for you and script it. You also have a whole crew to correct you if you are about to ask a stupid question or if you are talking too loud. Since you are a one man show, Perez, I guess we should cut you some slack on the research thing.

I'm glad Boy George is still around. He sounds great too. I have never seen Perez talk before. I thought he was a little more bright than he seems here. Boy George is razor sharp. Perez..well…he's not. There is something teenage girl-ish about him.

George seemed a lot happier here than he has in some time. He mentioned that he was 'behaving' himself, so I guess that means he's not been doing
(m)any drugs. If this is so, then I hope he stays off them for good; he seems like a much nicer person without them. It's been some time since I liked one of his songs (though 'Time Machine' was AMAZING), but that new one he played sounds very good indeed. He might do DJing, fashion, writing, whatever, but it all started with the music for George and I can't help feeling he's at his best, and happiest, when he's focusing on creating beautifully crafted pop songs and at his best he has few, if any, equals. I wish him all the best and look forward to hearing more from the new, improved Boy George in the future.
