A rehab facility 'insider' sold Heather Locklear out to the tabloids!
The Melrose Place alum's mouthpiece previously claimed that the actress was receiving treatment at an Arizona facility for anxiety and depression.
But, a source with connections to the center (Sierra Tucson) treating Locklear tells InTouch Weekly that she's being treated for alcohol and prescription-pill dependency.
Heatherwas supposedly driven all the way from LA to the Arizona facility by boyfriend and Melrose co-star, Jack Wagner, to keep her admission to rehab a secret.
That didn't last very long!
A family insider also reveals to the magazine, "Over the years, she's had in-home detox sessions with a nurse, but none of it has ever worked."
Another source adds, "Two years ago, she attended a discreet women-only Narcotics Anonymous meeting in the San Fernando Valley."
Wow. Seems like she's been battling her demons for a while now.

it is no secret that all these bitches love drugs.I was actually at a PARTY where a certain A list actress had her mouth gluuuuuuuued to a Meth Bong.She was smoking shard after shard and then followed it by having a shot of GHB.
She's been addicted to meds since she was with Tommy Lee. I used to live in Woodland Hills and she would pop into our local 7-11 mini mart for booze, etc. all the time. She bought coke (and not the kind you drink) from my former friend. Her hair is paper thin, which is why it was laughable to me when she made commercials for L'Oreal hair color. She's always been rail thin, courtesy of drugs. I hope she cleans up her act because deep down inside is a sweet lady.

You know I actually felt for her because she appeared to be honest about her troubles.
If this is true that that's really what she's in there for then it sucks she got ratted out, but I still have no sympathy for celebrities—sorry it comes with the territory.

Alcoholics and addicts are everywhere. It happens to the best of us. She probably also has an underlying anxiety/depression problem, since addictions and mood disorders so frequently go hand-in-hand.

That makes total sense. I don't know anyone who was able to "quit" pills/opiates the very first time he/she tried. It seems like if you got an opiate addiction, you're in it for at least a couple years!! First you have to "detox" and get weaned off the opiates-hopefully with meds like suboxone- that help decrease the physical withdrawals. Then you have to stay sober and fight cravings as your brain chemistry, hopefully, goes back to somewhat normal. AND if she's mixing pills with booze! A No-No! Most people who overdose on pills and die, have mixed them with another drug. Plus, alcohol is the #1 drug you can actually die from the withdrawals i.e. delerium tremons. You would think heroin-but no-go look it up. So yes, Good Luck Heather! She's been shitty for a while and hopefully an in-patient facility will help her stay on the road to recovery!
Promises in Malibu costs $70,000 a month. I should know - I tried to check in there myself. Betty Ford was more "reasonable" - $25,000 per month.
It's hard enough for someone to deal with addiction privately with themselves and their families. How much harder to have it all made public fodder? I wish Heather the best and I hope she can get the help she needs.

Speculation aside, whenever a celebrity goes into treatment for 'depression', all you need to do is research the facility. As Dr. Drew points out, chemical dependency facilities will NOT accept patients who are not chemically dependent, it's that simple.

The programs are anonymous for a reason. There's a special place in hell reserved for those who break that rule–especially if they work for a facility. It should be anonymous for people who are celebrities, too. It's a disease. None of our fucking business.

If someone at Sierra Tucson leaked information about her treatment then thatperson should be fired and if liscensed staff reported. That is a violation of her privacy as protected by HIPAA laws. Ppl do not have the right to know what a person's medical condition is nor the details of their treatment. And as for the anxiety and depression..well ppl with anxiety and depression self medicate all the time. This is not news.
Perez - please respect the anonymity of all persons with chemical issues who allegedly attend 12-step meetings. If someone is trying to get sober, reports like this can keep them away from the help they so desperately need. This isn't cellulite of fugly outfits - this is survival.

My issue with Perez, the Paparazzi and the other tabloids is its one things to slam someone for bad hair, lookin like a hot mess, a messy break-up, or what have you but I say mental health, health issues in general, drug & alchol addiction and kids are and should be OFF LIMITS! I also am thinking about adding that people should not out someone before they out themselves to that list.
