Looks like a few leading lady roles may be opening up in Hollywoodland!
Rose McGowan and director Robert Rodriguez are done…over…finished, according to an industry insider.
It's been previously reported that McGowan was to star in at least three upcoming Rodriguez projects: a Barbarella remake, Red Sonja and Woman in Chains.
Rumor has it that Rodriguez couldn't find adequate financing for Barbarella because proposed star Rose is not a big enough name, which led to a major blow up between the two.
Sounds like Rodriguez probably cut the 'muse' loose!

For those quoting Sin City, JAlba was in there for about 10 minutes in total and her only job was to look good in chaps, which she did very well, but she cannot carry a whole movie.
Darn! I was really looking forward to seeing Rose McGown as the leading lady, she can ACT!! and did a great job in Terror Squad, Barbarella would have been great for her to cast in. Rose McGowan is also a terrible actress. In every role I've seen her in so far her "acting" came across very superficial. I absolutely hated her in thos Rodriguez/Tarantino movies (can't for the life of me remember their titles and in which one she starred, but I do remember thinking: this woman is TERRIBLE!). Also, the Rodriguez movie was terrible compared to the Tarantino one, but that's neither here nor there….
