Angelina Jolie's obstetrician, Dr. Michel Sussmann, will hold a press conference later this afternoon.
It is not yet known what he will announce.
The birth of the twins?????
The doctor has been watching the 33-year-old actress at a French Riviera hospital, where she checked in on Sunday and is expected to give (have given) birth.
Poppa Pitt, Brad, was seen leaving the seafront Lenval hospital Wednesday morning.
Nice Matin, the local newspaper, reported that Jolie has the best room in the hospital, on the fifth floor, with an "unobstructed view" over the Bay of Angels. It said she arrived by helicopter, landing Sunday afternoon on the hospital's roof.
The newspaper said the actress reserved four rooms on the maternity ward, with a bodyguard keeping watch.

I hope nothing happened to the babies. This seems like a very serious move after what has been a very private pregnancy. Anything the doctor knows would be confidential so nothing could be released without her permission.

Not sure I will believe this til I see it. Holding a press conference to discuss something personal sounds VERY un-Angelina. She has been admitted to the hospital SIX WEEKS prior to the due date however (aug 19)… I am expecting these babies will come in the next two weeks as they tend to deliver twins early to reduce complication in the final month. If this press conference does go ahead (which I'm doubting it will), I echo those who say I hope it is not bad news. But if something has gone wrong with the pregnancy, I don't see Ang letting her OB/GYN tell the world, she is the kind of person who would talk about it herself …. about 3 months down the line, but herself no less.

Why do you all have to be such assholes? If their is something potentially wrong with these babies it's a very sad thing. It's nothing to joke about. If you had children of your own you would understand that. IF there is something seriously wrong maybe they want to let people know themselves on their own terms before it is leaked and gets twisted around and becomes indistinguishable from the truth. Dealing with a child that is born sick is a hard and traumatic thing to deal with on it's own, let alone having it splashed in every newspaper along with a bunch of lie or half-truths.

One of the twins *the girl* has a heart condition. It has been being monitored for months. Note why you had not seen her before for awhile. She was on bed rest trying to keep the babies "in" aslong as possible. She has had a medical team with her throughout pregnancy. I have kept my mouth shut minus the last time their "birth" was announced.*and even then, I alluded that people should respect their privacy* Half of my family lives out there. Uncle lives down the road from them. It was the locals giving out the false stories in order to throw off the media. The french press is being respectful for the most part. The Americans, not so much. This may be serious news people….. Give them space and prayers….

Well, im hoping for 'A' because although I find Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt very irritating, I would never wish anything bad on them or thier children. I also would hope these two dont think they are so important that they would need to have a entire press conference just to announce the birth of thier babies.
Then again, most mothers stay in the hospital for a few days so they can take thier baby/babies home when the doctor allows it… so im not completely sure its a diversion to leave the hospital in peace, because why would she leave only a day or so after giving birth? Or has she been there for more than a few days? Or has she no even givin birth yet…
