Guy Ritchie is gonna be pissed.
Turns out he's not the only one working on a Sherlock Holmes movie!
According to a new report, Sacha Baron Cohen and Will Ferrell have signed on to do a Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, 40-year old Virgin) backed Sherlock Holmes movie.
Cohen will play the role of Sherlock and Ferrell will grace the screen as Watson.
We're looking forward to seeing the Talladega Nights co-stars together again!
With those 3 comedic minds working together we're expecting to see lots of funny.

The Judd Apatow comedy formula is very old…lets hope he mixes it up for this one as it has a lot of potential…assuming Will Farrell can pull off a hit after his last tragedy that was Semi-Pro.

Sounds like complete crap. Ferrell can't act worth anything…..the only good work he has done was in Stranger than Fiction. Ugh, I can't believe they are doing a movie based off of such a great story, they are going to turn it into complete garbage.

I think that Will Ferrell's movies have sucked over the past couple of years (with the exception of "Stranger Than Fiction"). I think that teaming up with Sacha Baron Cohen and the BRILLIANT Judd Apatow to do something different is just what his career needs! He's very talented, he just needs to stop doing the same old shit time and again!

I like Cohen and I loved Ferrell on SNL. But 95% of Will Ferrel's movies suck; I hope this one is part of the 5%.
Judd Apatow is brilliant, I would see his version over Mister Madonna's any day. That and I have a comedy crush on Will Ferrell.

sherlock holmes is a classic. ferrell will play watson as an idiot, something he most definitely is not. i hate this.
I think anyone with any sense realises that this movie is going to suck big time, Sascha Baron Cohen is a complete dick and I cannot understand why anyone would think he is funny.
Sherlock Holmes is a fantastic literary character and extremely difficult to turn into a comedy without ruining Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's creation.
These guys should take a look at Without a Clue starring the fantastic Michael Caine and Ben Kingsley then realise that they could never do anything as good and find another movie to suck at.

I think Baron Cohen is one of the sexiest men alive.

Borat kinda undid a lot of the funny that I thought was Sascha Baron Cohen.
I can forgive Will Ferell for not being funny in his movies, cuz the guy is just so damned likeable. (Check out Gary Sanchez … Viva Paraguay!) Besides, I think he's a decent dramatic actor.

I don’t know how I feel about Sherlock Holmes being a comedy. And Will Ferrell doesn’t know how to not be Will Ferrell…he would not be my millionth choice.
But I think if done right, Sacha could be real good as Holmes.
I love how everyone is dissing Will Ferrell, who is actually a very good comedian, everyone has a bad movie or two. Look and Tom Cruise, his movie keeps getting pushed back and no one says anything about him, and he's CRAZY.
I'd rather have my eyes gouged out than see this movie.
I like both of these guys (although I think they're going to run Ferrell into the ground if they keep giving him the same roles all the time), but as Sherlock Holmes and Watson? Just horrible.
