American Airlines confirmed Wednesday that they may be cutting 900 flight attendant jobs.

The airline industry is already deep in the red and on the verge of collapse. The middle class is being destroyed, yet dumb middle class folks will vote to give the top 2% the tax breaks while they take it up the ass.. I guess hate is very powerful.
Starbucks will be taking care of all of their cut employees. They'll either transfer them to a nearby store, or give them severance and help finding a new job. You really need to pay attention before you make implications, Perez.

Being an FA I know how scary this time is. Don't think that this is just an American problem. My airline in Canada is doing the same. In any case, the companies don't give a shit about us anyway so why does it matter. They have been overworking us for years and it's just gonna get worse. Please send your blame to high ticket prices to our CEO who brought home a 26 million dollar bonus last year. Oh just so you know my bonus for 2007….. $76

We get raises at my company every year. this year, we don't dare even ask for one. We are packed with work and stress, but we don't dare complain. the odds of us finding a job right now are slim. So for those of you who hate your job, suck it up and take it. It's the only way to survive right now.

overpriced baby food and tell you how to buckle a seat belt,pathetic unless you havent been in a car in over 40 years and dont know how to put on a seatbelt. idiots.
they also tell you to put your seat upright to take off and land……what does it matter if the seat is at a slight angle of 4 degrees lower than upright ? i can understand if it is first class and fully reclined, but that really annoys me when the flight attendeant make me put my seat back up one extra inch or too .

Re: boooo – The reason that your seat needs to be upright and locked in place is due to the fact that ,if there was an accident and your seat wasn't locked, it would break away and you would be thrusted forward into the next person(crushing you probably). I hope that everyone realizes that we don't say things just to make your journey unbearable(we don't design the planes) We want you to live if there is an accident. There have been numerous studies on plane saftey, read those before you comment You choose wether or not you will by watching and listening to us. Can I also say that your carry ons are too heavy, if there was a crash those bags will crush you, think about it.

Write to your congressmen and urge them to lift the ban on drilling in ANWR. The drilling sites are completely remote and little wildlife and no flora is found in the area. We must cut our dependence on foreign oil while we explore other types of fuel. The damned environmental wackos are bringing this country down — which, of course, is their goal.
