Honestly, I'm not really feeling it…I feel like they are trying TOO hard to look different, but that their music is nothing revolutionary–in fact, I think most of the song sounded like that Jet song "cold hearted bitch," which in turn just sounds like AC/DC. I saw these guys in Chicago in April. They were scary to say the least. A few of their songs weren't that bad but it's clear that the lead singer is obsessed with Bowie. Plus, he's really gross on stage. He said the word cunt on stage so much that it got old real quick. He was trying to shock people by saying that word 200 times but he just looked like a kid in high school trying to be cool.

This band will be huge within the next 6-8 months. Their entire album (to be released in Sept. 08, IIRC) is great and they are one of the best live bands I have seen.

It pretty much goes against everything I believe in to be posting on this site….but SPW are f-ing stunning. See them live…they're raw, gorgeous, clever, fierce, unapologetic and absolutely everything that the music world needs right now. See them once….and you're forever roped in! It's like a drug…you can't stop! They're unstoppable! I don't care if you like glam rock or pop, grunge or punk, or anything inbetween and/or outside the lines, THIS BAND makes all else seem plain. (Justin also makes some sexy jewlery and the word "kunt" seem almost magical!)
