Angelina Jolie Announces That Her Next Movie Will Be...
Maleficent!
At least, we think it is! Almost positive, actually!
Angelina Jolie was at the Berlin International Film Festival today, where she is screening her directorial debut, In The Land Of Blood and Honey out of competition, when she announced that the long-rumored project was next up for her - even though she didn't specifically call it by name!
She explains:
"I haven't acted in two years, and I haven't done anything else since this . The next thing I am looking at is a Disney movie. The best thing to find that balance is to do something that is just for children. You know, you find different ways to make things matter. When, for example, you do fun action movies, they are empowering for my daughters."
And since we've gotten word that the Luc Besson movie she had been eyeing seems to have stalled, and Maleficent recently got Robert Stromberg as a director, we think it's safe to say that the Linda Woolverton-written adaptation of the classic fairy tale is definitely where we'll see her next!
So, so cool!

Re: $$$ – Completely agree, mate, exactly what I was going to say. I don't know who the fuck Perez thinks he is using charities (of which he receives a % of the donations) to boost his post count. His blog has unashamedly become ad-infested and self-promoting. When will his "fans" get any of the revenue generated by the website? After all, they're the wons responsible for his popularity.

of course its self promotion, its not something new. Alex's Lemonade is a great organization, I just covered an event in Philly with her parents earlier this week on my self promoting blog.
Though a lot of the money does go to research and whatnot, the whole Alex's Lemonade Stand thing seems rather crass to me. It's like her parents are perpetually holding a picture of their dead daughter, unaware or stupid enough to not realize that they're raping the living hell out of that poor girl's memory.
Thank you for raising awareness about childhood cancer.
My daughter's preschool raised $1500.00 hosting an Alex's Lemonade Stand this spring.

Now THIS is a worthwhile cause, I did donate, but I still think the daily threads are, in the balance, very lame.
I like having the opportunity to donate to charities that I wouldn't otherwise know about. Why anyone would take issue with Perez letting readers know about charities is beyond me. Thank you, Perez for the opportunity to hear about and give to a great charity.
I live in the same town as the scott family and they are just wonderful people. I did my bat mitzvah project on alex's lemonade stand and it is a great cause! All profits go to cancer awareness. please help! and the lemonade is actually very good and they sell it all over philadelphia and in new jersey from what i have seen.

Does this mean you'll make a much needed appearance at the Lemon Ball? PLEASE COME! ALSF has a family and a real story behind it, and it is in no way " a crass" organization.

It's just I'm a bit skeptical since Perez has started posting these fucking charity things - don't get me wrong, charities are brilliant, but I think he's using them to self-promote and bring in the cash. No hard feelings :S I like canadians.
