More Legal Woes

Filed under: Old People > Legal Matters > Ed McMahon

wenn213632.jpg

Poor Ed McMahon.

Things just aren't looking good for him lately!

First, he's behind on nearly $644,000 on his house mortgage.

Then, he gets a lawsuit from Citibank claiming he owes almost $200,000!

And, of course, we know his wife Pam isn't helping one bit with her ridiculously over the top spending habbits.

Well, now new reports show that yet another lawsuit has just been filed against McMahon.

This time around it's a pharmacy that's suing.

Mickey Fine Pharmacy of Beverly Hills filed a lawsuit stating that McMahon and his wife owe them about $8,200.

Poor McMahon. Just goes to show we need to provide better health benefits in this country!

Is Viagra is covered by insurance?????

Lets hope McMahon and his wife get their money troubles sorted out soon or we bet they'll be another lawsuit coming.

Just goes to show that people need to pay their bills! Free healthcare is not the answer. Just ask England and Canada. It is bankrupting the countries and people have to wait in line for routine tests. Most of the Doctors are imported. Privatize healthcare, privatize education and privatize social security. Also, Drill here, drill now! AmericanSolutions.com

That's what younger, pretty girls get for playing with their old balls. I DON'T FEEL BAD ONE BIT!

The problem isn't our health care system, it is peoples’ lack of self-control and habit of spending money they don't have. He would be in the same situation regardless if we had universal health care or not. He wife would still be spending money they don't have.

Poor old man? Pleeze! The guy is too stupid to handle his finances. Stupid stupid stupid. It's not like he was robbed or had a disease. He lived beyond his means. McMahon was ghetto rich, and now Rent-a-Center is collecting their payments.

Better health coverage in this country? Are you kidding? You think taxpayers should foot the bill for a man who was once worth millions? He could have paid his own bills for the rest of his life. Instead- spend, spend, spend on a bunch of material junk. You liberals kill me thinking the government should take care of everything. Im suprised you can even take piss without Uncle Sam holding your hand or some other body part.

Is Ed all there? Has someone taken advantage of him in his old age and run him into the ground? Who is stepping in on his behalf? He didn't run his life like this for the first 85 years of his life. It sounds as though he needs some solely altruistic help from his old friends. I know old people, and this happens over and over.

    29

    WHAT!??

    Are you people serious??

Ed McMahon's spending problems have NOTHING (if you didn't see it NOTHING) to do with USA's health care!
It's a rich person living beyond his means. It is 100% Mr.McMahon's problem he can't afford his prescriptions, house or for his wife to shop!

It's a pathetic excuse to add some liberal commentary on a blog that is suppose to me about holywood crap.

PEREZ YOU HAVE NOTHING, AGAIN NOTHING, TO DO WITH POLITICS…
STICK TO WHAT YOU KNOW, CELEBRITY GOSSIP, AND STAY OUT OF THE WORLD OF POLITICS UNTIL YOU EDUCATE YOURSELF ENOUGH TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE PEOPLE RUNNING THAN WHAT THEY WEAR AND WHAT YOU THINK THEY ARE SUPPORTING.

GOOGLE FREE HEALTHCARE IN CANADA AND SEE WHAT THE PROBLEMS ARE.

What's this "we need to provide better health benefits in this country?" Dingle berry Ed had the money and blew it. People need to do like I and millions others have done or are still doing, you sacrifice certain things, like cable tv, new cars etc and live on a budget. 20 years ago as a single mom, I got an entry level bank job with health benefits. It was tough but, I would never have thought of not getting health benefits…luckily, via education and life experience, I no longer have to make those sacrifices.
    *
Seriously, too many people have expectations of what their life should consist of without having paid their dues, gotten an education or put in the hard work!! I know there are a group of working folks for whom health care is out of reach, therefore, I have no problem working to solve that problem, but please spare me the violins for Ed McMahon and people who use the emergency room as their personal physician or are just too stupid to better themselves or make sacrifices.

what's wrong with men today? When will they learn? NEVER, NEVER,NEVER, BUY A DEPRICIATING ASSET. Listen to Tom Lykis on streaming L.A. talk radio. Females are little more than vultures. Only pay for what you get, never give them a credit card to set their own over rated price. Any guy who gets married to one of these dik drainers today is an idiot. I don't feel sorry for him he could have had 1000 times better for $2500 a night then sent the skank home

Hey, listen. I wasn't even insinuating that his current wife took his money. There are countless accountants, financial managers, and others who could have easily skimmed Ed's money without his knowledge at this point, or his wife's. It needs looking into. Perhaps he didn't live beyond his means. This kind of theft and fraud happens more than you know, and moreso to the elderly. They're just not on the ball anymore, even if they still have all of their faculties. Time for the experts to be called in. Heads might roll, and this might not be McMahon's doing. Just saying.

  35. 35

I really don't feel sorry for him because he had plenty of money and just blew it all (with his wife's help) This should be a hard lesson for us all–don't spend what you can't afford.

This has nothing to do with healthcare. Ed and his wife just like to live high off the hog. I know many people who would love to have the opportunity to have that amount of money so they can afford the basic necessities.

Bailing out Ed would be like bailing out Enron. There would be not lessons learned from it.

what a tragic situation. Here's a man who spent his life working to entertain people (mostly of his own generation) and now he's being stripped of his earnings. I know most people probably blame him, but I think it's incredibly sad. Amazes me that his friends don't try and help him.

  53. 53

First of all, he needs to get rid of that washed up, money-hungry, gold-digging skank, and then he needs a visit from the Publisher's Clearing House van with a big giant check tied to colorful balloons so he can pay off all his debts.
