INSTEAD OF JUST SAYING DONATE TO A WORTHWILE CAUSE, WHY DON'T YOU LIST THE PERCENTAGES OF OUR DONATIONS THAT GO TO OVERHEAD, SALARIES, ADVERTISING AND WHAT ACTUALLY GETS USED FOR THE SAID CHARITY.

Get over it, Perez. YOU GIVE and leave the rest of us the hell alone. WHAT THE FUCK DOES THIS BLEEDING HEART SHIT HAVE TO DO WITH CELEBRITY BLOGGING?

Perez gets a % of the donations. It's pretty sick. Do you honestly think he posts these indistinguishable: "DO IT FOR THE KIDS!!! CLICK HERE!!! READ UP!!! WORTHWHILE CAUSE!!!" out of pure sympathy?…………………………………………… HOW THE FUCK DO YOU THINK HE AFFORDS TO ATTEND PARTIES???? lol

This isn't a shout out for Christian Children's Fund… it's for Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation… You should always check a non profit's financials before donating. By law, their Form 990 (their equivalent of a tax return) must be available for public inspection.

If you go to the PDRF website, a link to their 990 is right there. From what I saw, their administrative costs vs grants to the public are entirely appropriate.

      85% - Grants ($1,480,380)
      8% - Fundraising ($144,099)
      7% Administrative ($114,254)

And… This is Perez' site, he can post whatever he wants. If you don't want to read any one post, then don't click on it.

If you're concerned about where your funds are going and you want to make a contribution to Children's Cancer Research donate to something like St. Jude — or just go give blood, or better yet put your name on the bone marrow donor's list.

You can single handedly save a life that way!

Cancer research and foundations are nothing but scams that line the pockets of doctors and pharmaceutical companies. Cancer has been cured years ago. Doctors who cure it in America are harassed by the FDA and licenses are threatened. We live in a medical fascist country where health freedom is only for conventional medicine which is archaic and barbaric in most cases. Look at all the things alternative medicine has been curing over the years and drop conventional. Remember that over 100,000 Americans are murdered every year just from pharmaceutical drugs.

Fuck I'm so sick of people bitching on here. Seriously, fuck off if you don't like it. I can't see how advertising a charity is bad for anyone, even if Perez gets a cut- I really don't care- but I really honestly doubt he does. All you dumb fucks who wonder how he affords to go to parties, it's the advertising on the sides of the page you are looking at. Dickheads.

This charity is the best charity I know. I have done tons of research and this is the way to go. I sign up yearly for their 10K run in May every year in Irvine, California. I have also met some of the board members. A majority of the members have children who have been effected by pediatric cancer.
      PCRF Rocks!!!!

PCRF is a great org. Their research has helped millions of kids beat leukemia. Their over head is minimal because most of the work is done by volunteers. Check out their site and see for yourself!

I thought I'd respond to some of the questions. PCRF (Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation) is not connected to Perez or the CCF (Christian Children's Fund?). PCRF is 26 years old and funds research on kid's cancer in CA, Texas and NY. The research has directly led to survivors in all 50 states and in many countries around the world. For all the 26 years, 80% of every dollar raised goes directly to research. Looking for a great cause - here's one!

Wow - people never fail to amaze me. In their generosity, OR in the fact that the rest of them WILL even find something sh**y to say about a VERY worthy cause.

I'm going to try and put the latter out of my mind.

Thank you, Perez, for posting this. I actually come here, to your site, to get a break from the "real world" - and right now my Real World includes a wonderful, just -turned - ten year old who is fighting so hard against leukemia. It's a nightmare, it is surreal… i still forget i am a grown - up sometimes, let alone "old" enough to have a friend with a 10 - year old… and that 10 year old has this horrible disease.

We need SO MUCH HELP. If the charity that Perez has posted here doesn't look like a good one to those of you who might be reading, please do some research and find one that is - and then help them out in any way that you can.

St. Jude's is a wonderful hospital, from what i know of (my friend's daughter is in our local Children's Hospital, not at St. Jude's), so maybe you would feel more comfortable sending 10 bucks in that direction. But please don't joke about this. Someday, that could be your kid. You know how you think "It'll happen to someone else!" - well, to people who don't know you? GUESS WHAT? You ARE "someone else"! And if you are in a position to help now, please do. The cost of care for my little friend who i'll just call "B" is immense.

      Thanks.

      Re: compa

Man, i spend almost all of my computer time at that site. Caring Bridge is an *amazing* web home - and they always need funding too. I have two loved ones there who i check on daily - and one we lost. But Caring Bridge is a great way to let everyone know what is going on w/o having to tell the story a "million" times a day (which can be so emotionally draining!). Thanks for mentioning it, in whatever context it was intended.
