Hate picturing it, but what's wrong with the senior bump and grind?
The chance of picking up a sexually transmitted disease is what's wrong!!
According to a new report in Time magazine, the rates of STDs amongst seniors is on the rise.
Viagra and online dating are listed as reasons why there's a lot more sexy time going on for the old folks.
That's great and all, but researchers at England's West Midlands Health Protection Agency found that in less than a decade, STD rates had more than doubled among people ages 45 and older.
The author of the study, thinks that figure may be low, "These observations are based on a small proportion of people who actually attend clinics."
The doc went on to say that middle-aged and older people tend to delay visiting a doctor for treatment of an STD, or avoid it altogether, in large part due to the stigma associated with sexually transmitted infections.
STD's aren't ageists!
You may want to print the Time article out and give it to your grannies and grandpaps!
Wonder if the condom biz will come out with a senior line — ez to open rubbers for those arthritic hands?!
