The Friends movie isn't happening.

According to OK! Magazine, the flick chatter pushed by the British media was all rumor.
The mag cites comments made by a rep for Maniston as proof it's not happening.
Man is the show's biggest star…what would it be without her?
The mouthpiece said that the actress was unaware of any such project and questioned why she would have any interest in revisiting her sitcom days.

As much as I loved the show, I think a movie would ruin it. It's one of my all-time favorite shows and I prefer to remember it as it was, as whenever movies based on tv shows come out, they tend to pale in comparison to the real thing. If the script and plot was fabulous…maybe. But it's unlikely, so I guess it's best there is no movie.

People can give Friends all the shit they want as some awful 90s relic, but it was and still is one of the best sitcoms ever on TV. I don't know why you seem to hate it so much, and while none of them outside of Aniston are huge stars, I'd hardly call them z-listers. Granted, a movie is a horrible idea, but Jesus Perez, don't be an ass.
they may not be the most "popular," but they have plenty of money and are living very comfortably. They don't have to be on the A list. They are set for 300 lifes.

this whole thing has not been proved or disproved. For all we know, the whole idea of a movie might never have come up -it might be made up to sell mags. Everything is a 'mouthpiece', a 'rep'-nothing from the owners of the show or the stars. Just garbage and a way for perez to hate on Jennifer.

Friends remains the best sitcom out there! It is catchy, funny, and well-played. There is absolutely no reason for Jennifer to be 'ashamed' of her sitcom days. After all, she did some of her best acting in Friends and she was hugely successful. So were the other 5 actors! So no Z-listers on Friends!

Glad you finally see who she really is! Aniston got into her head, by being married to Brad the movie star, she too could be one. She duped Brad for movie contacts promising a family, then when finally Brad realized her charade and left her, she came out with vengeance and attacked Jolie-Pitts. Friends was a great show. I think making TV shows into movies is a risk, but I think Sex and the City was GREAT! I thought Perez liked SATC, so why wouldn't you root for a Friends movie?
