Jamie Lynn Spears, 17 years old, is speaking out for the first time since giving birth to daughter Maddie Briann last mont, in the new issue of OK!.
On life in Louisiana:
"Around here, everyone has the same focus. The focus is family, and that's a good way to live."
On her pregnancy:
"They'd told me it would be an eight- to 12-hour labor, and I was ready to have the baby in three to four hours. I had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery. I was very blessed."
On the delivery:
"Once I got in there, my doctor was just so calm and so good it was not bad at all. I was just talking to Casey. And you know what's so weird? I was asking him if he was okay. He was like, 'Yeah.' We were both so excited."
On little Maddie:
"She is very good. She'll feed every two or three hours. When she wakes up in the middle of the night, I'll feed her and she goes right back to sleep. There's no screaming and crying. We get up in the morning, and she gets her little bath. Then I get my bath. We have a routine, and I love routines. I've worked one out with her, and we're happy going about our little life."
Why would a cesarean be 12 hours long?

Way to promote teen pregnancy! It's not that easy when you don't have loads of money to pay someone to get up and feed your kid in the middle of the night and hold it while you take a bath and do all the other things you have to do in a day. Why don't they tell the truth, ask Fantasia how cool it was to be a teen mom with no money.

you know what, beleive it or not, Jamie here is a very intelligent person. I think having this baby was the best thing that could have ever happened to her. You can see that she has expereinced this amazing spiritual process, and is now living in this pile of new found knowledge, it's great to see someone come to a "finding of self" in their life time, not alot of people do. Yea, the little bastard is cute and sweet now. Just wait until she begins teething, then later she begins walking and that cute little bundle becomes bipedal and starts getting into things. Then comes the terrible twos, which are no where near as bad as the threes (twos - tantrums, threes - attitude, lots and lots of attutude). She will find out that having kids is not like playing house with dolls. As I said in the last string, she will need luck, lots of it too!
Congrats to Jamie and the entire family, Maddie is beautiful! It's not promoting teen pregnancy…if teens are STUPID enough to think having a baby so young when you're not ready is cool, they are the dumb ones, don't blame Jamie Lynn for others bad parenting. Babies are blessings, not burdens.
Actually, I think 'the best feeling in the world' is what got her PREGNANT!
They are trying to make her look older b/c the "smart, sensible" girl got knocked up at 16. . . still so sad. Kids taking care of kids will never be ok… hopefully she can handle it.
"Being a mom is the best feeling in the world" is just the kind of crap that 12-yr-old lost kids who idolize her don't need to hear. That's why Maury Povich always has slutty little girls on his show that want to have babies, so they can "have someone that will love them unconditionally."

2) Cesarean sections do NOT take 12 hours, it's surgery and the doctor's can even break your water for you

I think that OK magazine is being really tacky to put a teen mother on the cover. It make Jaime Lynn sound like pregnancy, birth, and being an unwed teen mom is glamourous. She had potential to be really famous and be much more popular than her sister. She will one day wake up and realize how she screwed up everything including her life — all for what– a piece of Casey's Dick. She probably doesn't even take care of this baby. Lynn Spears really fucked up with both her girls and their father is having to clean this mess up. Britney is doing much better with her father around and Lynn needs to stay in Louisiana and get her shit straight.
