In a bombshell revelation, the New York Post is now reporting that Christie Brinkley's soon-to-be former husband, Peter Cook, used to be a drug dealer in the '80s.
Cocaine was the vice he pushed.

But the bottom line is, she had no other motive for going public with this except to extremely humiliate him and uncover and exploit his sexual addiction problems. And that is really uncool, especially if your estranged spouses reputation is on the line. She could have acheived the EXACT SAME RESULTS with a private trial, but she purposefully chose to publically humiliate him and also humiliate her children. She is a complete bitch. I remember reading something a long time ago about him when they first got married that he served time in jail when he was younger due to a cocaine bust. She's as fake as they come. She knew damn well about his past. She was so desperate to create yet another "perfect family" for more self promotion she just chose not to care about his past. First off, what a bunch of losers you are who say everyone in the 80's 'dealt a little blow.' That's offensive. Everyone did not do or sell blow in the 80's, so don't imply that she should have known that about her husband, as if it's an obvious fact. Second, they met through her best friend, Jill Rappaport (long-time entertainment reporter), who met him and thought Christy and he would hit it off. Third, Billy Joel obviously doesn't hate her and he was married to her. They seem to have a very understanding, friendly relationship, so she must not be too horrid. Who cares if she's been married 4 times. It doesn't make anything he did alright. That's like saying a girl deserves to get raped because she word a short skirt. Yah, she was askin' for it. I think she makes very poor choices with men she gets involved in. She's been around the block (modeling world) to recognize when a significant other has a dependency (either drugs, alcohol, porn, whatever). There's probably plenty of information that could be dug up from Christie's past either true, or misconstrued as true, to paint a less than stellar picture of the "Uptown Girl". Both parents obviously have issues. Goes back to their kids. I feel sorry for them. They should have an opportunity to have a separate parent-child relationship with their mom and dad.

That's not new information. so I really doubt that this has anything to do with why the trial was put on hold This came out right after news of his affair became public. From what I recall of the story, he was selling cocaine in an area known to be hangout for gays engaging in sex (under a bridge).

We are not proud of them, but we needed the money. Now he is a Goverment Worker. Doesn't make him worthless or not a good father.
