According to reports, 18-year old Christian Phillips is suspected of delivering drug-laced cookies to about a dozen police departments in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

One of the police chiefs in this new case said that the treats were tested and traces of LSD were discovered.
Phillips was charged on Tuesday with LSD possession.
Three officers became ill from the 'treats'.
Phillips supposedly posed as an ambassador of Mother's Against Drunk Driving when he dropped off the treats.
Police have confirmed that the teen was not affiliated with the organization.
Sounds like Phillips must have been high when came up with the crackpot idea!!

This has happened before in Dallas. I use to live there and it happened at my old high school, except instead of LSD it was pot back then. Now that was funny, LSD not so much.

Hear is what happened Perez…………The kid is on probation (not real sure for what) and as part of his probation, he was doing work for MADD! The cookies and candy were delivered yesterday to many police depts. in the DFW area. They interviewed his Dad last night on the ABC local news and, he was pretty pissed off!

Re: chris – I agree. I am a dispatcher at one of these departments and I am pregnant. Lots of times our coworkers bring in treats and with us being like family, we trust them. Most of the people figured they were brought in by officers or other employees. Had I eaten one of these things, I shudder to think what may have happened to my unborn child.
Alot of you think this is funny and hate cops. Well, we in law enforcement are normal people with a different job. We are not out to get everyone. Most cops think pot should be legalized because it is a waste of time, money and jail space. They want to go after the hardcore, deadly stuff, Meth, heroine.
I am not sure why so many of you think this is funny. A lot of people could have been seriously hurt or may have even died. I hope that your opinions do not reflect that of the rest of America. Having lost one child already, I seriously hope that you would not find pleasure in my newest child's life being in danger, as well as anyone else's. I understand most of you are young and childless, but I am 30 and I grew up a long time ago. You might want to consider growing up a little too.

My best friend is a nurse and families are always bringing in treats as a "thank you" for taking care of their loved ones. She DOES NOT eat any of it. The only thing she'll eat is if it delivered from FTD ( they have cookies and fruits) or a local bakery. With all due respect the police should be smarter than that! Please teach your child not to accept or "swap" snacks or lunches at school. You just don't know what other kids or their parents are capable of. Best of luck for a very healthy & happy baby!~

But what your failing to read and understand is that there was no indication that they were brought in by someone else. It is a daily thing for employees to bring in food. We all know each other, we all know each others families, we hang out when not on duty. Had anyone known, or the person who accepted them had let everyone know, the very few who did eat some, would not have, trust me. Only a very few people did consume the items. UPDATE!!!!! The cookies have been tested and do NOT show any traces of drugs, however they are still keeping him - since we know Perez won't update with the truth.

they ran second test and it was negative for LSD. whats the reason only 3 cops outta 5 whole police stations got sick.. the only thing the cops have going for them is the drug dog indicated there were drugs. no other proof.
but fuck texas cops. the reason they probably did it cause he had an assault charge on a officer already cause a pig went into his house during a party and beat his ass for no reason. the cop said he was assaulted so thats the reason he beat him up. officers who abuse authority… hmmm how many times do we see that?!

Go back and and do some update to this story. The ME's office of Tarrant County did more testing which is more sophisticated than the police dept on site testing and found absolutely nothing in the cookies. So what does that tell you! If the cops find anything in ur car it could come up false positive for drugs and you can still get your ass thrown in jail.
i just saw on the news that the charges were dropped, there were no drugs in the cookies. he spent 3 days in jail
