Pamela Anderson is a bit of a hypocrite.

The hardcore PETA supporter and animal rights activist recently checked herself in to Australia's Big Brother house and collected a hefty paycheck, despite the fact that she knew KFC is one of the biggest sponsors of the show.

Is she donating her entire paycheck to animal rights charities????

We think not!

But, Pambo did have a press conference at a KFC in Australia's Gold Coast on Thursday.

Looks like she got a HUGE turnout!

Anderson hand delivered a personal letter addressed to Albert Baladi, the managing director of KFC's parent company in Australia, citing alleged cruel practices by the chicken chain.

Pam also presented a video to the fast food outlet and called for KFC Australia to adopt KFC Canada's Animal Welfare Reforms on the treatment of their chickens.

I love fashion, but I do fine without leather or fur in my wardrobe. I try to buy products that haven't been tested on animals. It isn't that hard to make these consious desisions, but it is so hard to be 100% cruelty-free. So it is no big deal that Pam didn't know about the sponsers being KFC. As for PETA, good for them for their cause, but dudes, they take it too far and instead of being radical for the right reasons, they just piss people off and no one likes them. Still, their message is important, and they are certainly a loud voice for those who cannot speak out. And who desperatly need someone to speak out and help them. Poor animals. It is a subject that I'm passionate about. Whether you agree with eating meat or not, I'm sure we all agree that animal cruelty is wrong. KFC is one of the biggest offenders of animal cruelty. If you took the time to witness what goes on in their slaughterhouses, you'd never support them again with a clear conscience, I promise you.

As for Pam — whatever. Everyone would be a hypocrite if you nitpick enough. She still lives by an important principle of compassion, empathy and respect for all lifeforms and not just human life. Wish she'd have dressed appropriately though…

Also — starving children around the world have nothing to do with KFCs chickens. In fact, if you ate less meat, you'd be freeing up A LOT more grain to feed many more people than livestock ever could.
