It's nice to see when people try to better themselves, such as actor James Franco.
The Spiderman star, at age 30, just graduated from UCLA last month.
Franco had been taking English literature courses for years.
But, the overachieving actors isn't going to stop there.
Franco is moving to New York this September to attend graduate school at NYU!
It turns out that Franco loves to write.
He's co-written and directed films Fool's Gold, The Ape, and Good Time Max.
Of his quest for more education, despite already being very successful, Franco says, "I am going back to school because I love being around people who are interested in what I'm interested in. That is the best way to learn."
Adds James, "For me, being able to act in movies is not having it all. I am interested in other things, and I take my interests seriously. Thus, I'm back in school."
Kudos to him.
Education is very important.
And the brain is a muscle - it needs exercise!
People should be following James Franco's example, especially those celebutards that probably never finished high school or attempted to start college.

I just graduated from UCLA and I always saw him around. He seemed cool… I have friends who would talk to him. He was really nice, but very quiet.

he tried to get into the university of iowa's writer's workshop program and got denied. he got kicked out of visiting grad classes as well because he kept trying to say something on a topic he had no idea. a lot of these actors going to grad schools are way too pretentious and think they know everything. good for him that nyc took him though.

Getting an education is always a good thing.
However, his statement that he is going back to school "…because I love being around people who are interested in what I'm interested in. i go to UCLA. a lot of my friends had classes with him and they all say the same thing: he is an idiot. i've run into him at one of our coffee places and he is definitely NOT hot.

I just graduated with him with a degree in English at UCLA. we were always in the same classes and worked on a few projects together. I can honestly say he was the most motivated student I knew. He's amazingly smart and a great writer. He always got A's, which is so fucking hard to do at that school. I just want people to know that he's a very nice guy and definitely an actor, or really just a person, to emulate and look up to. And in my opinion, his personality and intelligence is what makes him hot!

I go to UCLA and saw him all the time…every time I saw him he was studying - library, starbucks etc! Such a good student and so goregous!
